^ Ooh fanwank fodder...

Edit: I am completely lost in the current discussion (especially in the Romance thread). What are people arguing again? I feel like it's a rehashing of old topics that have been discussed to death in the past few years...

I'd also be interested in a deeper explanation who exactly the final antagonist was.
Spoiler for final battle:

All in all, the summaries so far were a bit confusing on the issue of the final battle.

Well, maybe Karice or another of the lucky ones who saw the movie and speak Japanese can elucidate later.

Hey, how about I begin making comments to you in Spanish? I am sure your comebacks in the same language will be very witty.

I think I got the general gist.

Right. Finally got back a few hours ago, so let's see how I go with this. It's been a week since I saw the movie (could have tried to see it again last weekend, but I prioritised spending time with an old friend ^^)

@magnus
You really shouldn't put that much stock in my Japanese skills. There was so much jargon by that stage that I just switched off (I struggle through all the technical parts of the TV series and the novels...). That said, my general impression on the villains is that

I forgot how evil you can sometimes be. Then again, I wasn't interested in the food, but in the merchandise that was sold out before I got there!

Am also more than a little annoyed a certain poster, because I wanted to see those exhibition pics you posted! (Though thanks for linking Tochiro's event write-up!)

Based on the seiyuu interview in the pamphlet, they were surprised too.

That's the impression I got too, though it could still be something that builds on Alto's memory with his mother.

Said Yoshino interview is here. And just like someone else mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread, I seem to remember seeing something about Yoshino on which girl Alto was leaning towards (for the TV series)... To be honest, based on that and something else that was translated around the initial broadcast of episode 17, I think Yoshino and Kawamori weren't all that different in their opinion on the triangle...

I'm not sure it's about the movie specifically but since the poster of SNT is in the background I think it could be relevant, here it is:
I had it on in the background whilst working on this post, and yes, it's predominantly about SnT. Don't have time to listen more carefully/translate at present though.

Before I run off to catch up on all the study I missed (before anyone asks, I didn't make this trip just to see the movie - I had a very good reason to be in Japan - specifically, Okinawa - on the 1st of March), let me just note a point cheesie made ages ago that I totally agree with:

I'm sorry it'll be a long wait for most of us (yes, "us"! since I want to watch it again too!), but I do think that it'll be worth it.
