There's a technical in-consistency in episodes thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen.
Klaus' agreement with Hayate was that he'd be fired if he failed the Hakuou entrance exam...which he did. The stipulation was not "get accepted into Hakuou Academy". Thus, since Hayate still failed, he could go to school but he should have been fired on those grounds. 'tis a bit strange, isn't it? Last edited by Malintex_Terek; 2007-10-15 at 16:52. Not really. As long as Hayate was accepted, he wasn't in disgrace so Klaus would only have caused trouble for himself if he'd tried to enforce the letter of his rule instead of Nagi's interpretation. Nagi's interpretation of the terms are much more important.
You need to remember that Klaus is Nagi's employee, not vice-versa. He needs a really good excuse if he is going to fire Hayate or else he'll be the one in trouble.

Hayate accepted Klaus' outrageous conditions as was, it was an oath between men that should not have been over-turned just because Nagi would have objected. If Hayate was intent on leaving...he'd leave, whether Nagi wanted it or not. The matter being "dropped" just shows me THE WRITERS WEREN'T PAYING ATTENTION...
But that's alright, it's a silly show anyway. |

Question about ep 15...
So I'm unclear about the part where Hayate and Nagi are talking about the super-smart person who graduated high school in three years, was in the student council, etc. Was that referring to Nagi or Maria? Anyone get that?
