As in Scanlation, manga-rain is currently working on the manga, 4 volumes have been translated so far, you can find them all on the Irc channel.

If you want Fan-art Have alook around deviantART they have quite a few sweet pics.

Yes they have managed to capture the style of the manga which is just awesome, also some voices have been announced and it's quite different from the Drama CD.

Chiaki Omigawa as Maka Alban
Kouki Uchiyama as Soul Eater
Mamoru Miyano as Death the Kid
Yumiko Kobayashi as Black Star
Akeno Watanabe as Liz Thompson
Kaori Nazuka as Tsubaki Nakatsukasa
Rikiya Koyama as Shinigami-sama

Mahou-X have also been quite busy on the manga scene, might catch up before the anime premieres hopefully.

You were right, my apologies if I caused any offense. Anyway I've really enjoyed the last 2 Iwasaki scores in Kekkaishi and Gurren Lagann (haven't watched Persona yet) so like you I'm looking forward to hearing his score.

Hrm, designs for the anime are pretty close but there's something that isn't quite right but I can't put my finger on it. Anyway, I hope the action sequences are animated well, there are some particularly sweet scenes from the manga like Liz (<3 <3 <3 <3 Liz) and Patty's first action sequence, that is cool in the manga and could be even better if they animated it well.

I think the designs are good, but the images on the official site look off... It's in the coloring.

Same same xD Extremely emo characters are usually annoying, but Kidd's emo style is just so freakin' adorable and amusing xD His scenes in the manga amused me to no end xD What if I see such scenes on screen and with a voice!!! OMG xD

April . . .what's taking you so long???? *_*

Saw this on ANN:

Quote:
The official Japanese website of the Soul Eater anime series has announced that each episode will air in two different versions: the regular Monday 6:00 p.m. version and a late-night "Soul Eater Late Show" version with added special footage. The dual broadcast of this supernatural action series is being billed as the "world's first evening and late-night resonance broadcast."
Wonder what they will add on the late night. More violence? More fanservice? Both?

Lets just say that Blair will be a lot more popular with late night only viewers than afternoon only. Props to Bones for doing this so we don't have to wait for dvds.

When I saw it was airing at 5pm I gave up any hope of seeing Blair's assets animated but Bones to the rescue!

After the reading the first volume, it definitely feels like it was tailor made for Bones to animate in terms of style, even with all the fanservice (something the majority of Bones anime don't usually have)

And the Tim Burton-esque atmosphere and background art is awesome.
