Shiki is confirmed for this summer, and will finally break the habit of getting short noitaminA series, as it will run for 22 episodes.

The official website has also been revamped, and now shows a PV with actual footage! I must admit I'm not too excited for this season's noitaminA offerings, but this one has definitely grabbed my attention. That's one oddly colorful and detailed character design.

Gackt is going to voice the character Seishirō Kirishiki, this will be his first regular role in an anime series.

Wow, that looks really promising. I really like the chara design too. I'm having high hopes for this series.

Do wonder how big of a role Gackt's character will have.

His name didn't showed up in the PV, so I guess at best he's a side character?

Not one of the main characters. He's plays the husband of the Kirishiki family that hasn't appeared much. A flamboyant type of character iirc.

Setting is kinda similar to higurashi.

Anyway, I'm totally hooked. Just watching PV you can tell it that some studio really put good budget. Can't wait it! Totally my type of anime. I simply love detective, horror, mysterious, psychological genres anime. :P

According to 2ch (so not official source), Deen will animate Shiki. It confirms my thoughts after watching the pv. We've also :
Director & series compostion : Junji NISHIMURA (西村純二 - Simoun, Windy Tales, true tears)
Character-Designer : Mariko EMORI (江森真理子 - Shining Tears X Wind)

Out of curiosity, is because of how Umineko turned out? Or just in general.

Of all the Deen shows I have watched, I was not really impressed by how they told the story and their animation. But Umineko really pushed me over the edge for them.

Any noticiable series in the recent years from Deen? (and no, I don't even try to watch Umineko).
