Midori no Hibi LICENSED!!!

hmm that was mighty fast but i had this pegged by adv or gayneon more than anything else. hopefully the dvds wont have audio issues like their track record that preceeds them.

I like Media Blasters, they release good stuff. They have Weiss Kreuz (Knight Hunters) too.

And thankfully no whining from nay-sayers because the fansubbers finished!!!!!!

I read that on AnimeNewsNetwork this morning. I was expecting Bandai to pick up the series.

A surprise? I mean this is probably the best comedy series to come out in 2004. Anime companies are fast-tracking the good licenses now.

i think it's more than coincidence that show finished and it was announced at the first con that took place after it finished
no, i don't mean anything to do with the fansubs

Ahhh I'm so glad they didn't license it before the last frew episodes. That seems to be an annoying trend by anime companies these days . I'll buy it....I think. But I'd rather buy the manga a million times more. But I hate translated manga because I know how much they crop out to get text to fit and stuff. Hell, I should just import all my manga straight from Japan!

Holy Sh**!! 0_0 That was really bloody fast. But at least they waited until the series ended before announcing it, so I'll give them points there.

Even if they want to annouce it before it finish airing they can't since their last con was Anime Boston(and I believe that license 3 show).Just thanks Midori no hibi finish airing before the AnimeExpo comes

Media Blasters also has some of the funniest outtakes I've ever heard. The Berserk outtakes are hilarious. The Knight Hunter outtakes feature one scene where the voice actor decided he was going to start talking like Eric Cartman. Some of the other studios have started including outtakes, but they aren't as consistantly funny.

At least this gets rid of my dilema...

To keep so my fiance can eventually watch it (the fansubs on my comp).
Or to delete cause it's taking up space.

Since it'll be coming out in the US soon I can just delete it and make my fiance buy the DVDs. (Note I said nothing about ME buying the DVDs... hey we live in the same house.)

I wonder how they'll do it... like... 2 DVDs with 4 episodes and one with 5... 6 episodes on one DVD 7 on another... 3 episodes on 3 DVDs and then one with 4 episodes? Or will they be buttheads and do 6 DVDs with 2 episodes and 1 with 3 episodes?

I should probably check their other titles to see what their general releasing record is like...

:EDIT: Hmm they seem to like doing 4 episodes per DVD... so I'm thinking the first one I listed is most likely possible.

They should make a cute boxset with a hand puppet of Midori as a special gift.
