Face the fact, that dude is a trash compared to the other guys of the crew. He's a nice guy, of course, but more a follower than a leader. More a side kick than a hero. More a loser than a winner. And by the way, i'm a girl, not a guy. |

Oh no, through all the years and 423 chapters of One Piece, addams posts and suddenly my whole world has been turned upside down, everything I read it is a lie, a liiiieeee... No real One Piece fan would say shit like that. You shame the name of Eiichiro Oda. |

that video was hilarious! As for romance, I think if its like at the end and its like "in the future" or whatever, that would be good. And I'm all for Luffy and Nami! I think they'd be cute...besides Luffys gotta have some kids when the whole things done! Will of 'D'! Will of 'D'!

If anyone deserves Namy, it just has to be Luffy, although, there is a slight chance Usopp's awesome nose might sweep Namy of her feet. Then, there is the chance Luffy will pose the question, "why, Nami, you could have just asked me to stretch my nose. I am a rubber-man you know. I can stretch any part of my body." What's the topic again?

Oh, I think that's the same Asami-chan that I watch on DA!
It would be a wierd coincidence if it wasn't... Um, I think the original topic got lost a long time ago. XD Besides, it's simple, Nami won't give into Sanji because 1) He won't settle down with one woman 2)he's way too doting 3) he smells like cigarrettes and seafood, according to Oda. |

The way i actually see it, they all have their respective couples, Zorro(zolo) basically only has his swords, but opens up to robin, but probably doesnt feel anything, he already had someone he cared for, who died (not got sick such as 4kids tv stated) Luffy, well...he is just special, he really doesnt have any feelings except fool hearted friends, Ussopp however, is given the fact that absolutely someone waits for him, as many should know, at least i hope as much ^^; as for Sanji and Nami, if you've payed attention during the shows, and mostly the movies, you can notice the connection growing deeper with each second, when Nami does need help she does turn to sanji, as for Sanji, you cannot deny, whenever he is off messing around with girls, knowing he will fail, when Nami is around he ignores everything except her, you have to take into acount the extra attention he gives Nami,as well as sexual tension, he is happiest with her, notice that absolutely, i do think they have feelings for eachother, just wait until the voyage is over, and watch the sparks fly! That is how i see it, they all have their respective couples, Sanji and Nami being their own.

There are no "respective couples" in One Piece. Zoro has shown no interest in ANYONE, and neither has Luffy. As much as Sanji in interested in Nami, he shows Robin the same affection, to the point where he goes back and forth between them in the same damn sentence (if you saw the scene in Enies Lobby before they get up to the tower where Robin in Spandam is, you know what I mean).
And Nami shows more interest and tenderness towards most of the other characters then she does to Sanji, who she's pretty cold to most of the time and is really annoyed by his oogling. There is NO connection between Sanji and Nami at all. |

Yep! Welcome to fandom. Which is why there are fans of so many different pairings in One Piece. A lot of people interpret Sanji and Zoro's constant fighting to be a sign of a romantic relationship, hence ZoroxSanji is the most popular pairing you'll find in fanart, fanfiction, doujinshis, and websites.

Zoro had a crush on Kuina, his friend from childhood, which was revealed for sure when he met Tashigi. Meaning Zoro is atleast physically attracted to her because of that, thus his blushing at seeing her face without the glasses.
Zoro IMHO is the only main character with a definite canon love interest. It seems like ODa-sensei has been trying to avoid the anime/manga cliche of tons of love interest or love triangles among the characters, but with the ZoroXTashigi thing it seems like he was finally about to give in and give someone some romance but he backed out...atleast for now. If anyone needs more character development these days, it's Zoro. Oda should defintely bring her back and give them some scenes together. Any other couples are only hinted at. Some very...very..tiny hinting if any, others pretty obviously, like Usopp and Kaya. Last edited by Keiichi_chan; 2006-08-24 at 02:57. |
