ep. 63: "Seiya, join the battlefield! Atena's moment of truth"

Genbu protected Palaestra sacrificing himself bravely. Seiya and Atena go to meet the depressed Saints. Atena was reluctant to fight Pallas, since they were raised as sisters. However, Genbu's death makes her decide to put her life on the line against Pallas too. Meanwhile, Kouga is moved by Genbu's last words to him.

Ouch. Genbu is going to be missed. It is the only way to bring Shiryu back. At this point I wonder which cloth Hyoga will use, Aquarius or Cygnus

For the record, I already watch magical girl shows. Which is pretty irrelevant, really. I generally dislike shonen fighting anime, and SSO was an exception in large part because Yuna played an active role.

Now they have a female protagonist AND a good looking pegaus cloth.

I LOL when i see someone complain that the Omega characters are androgynous, gay or whatever. Do they even know how and why Saint Seiya made it big in Japan?

The whining about that new manga makes sense coming from them, though. They complained about Yuna and now they'll get a team of Yunas.
Either way, i guess that's a sign a strong, independent, female main character was well received.

I just finishes the first season of this show and in have to say I'm very disappointed in what I see as wasted potential especially of the antagonists. I really didnt like the villain swap towards the end of the show from interesting characters like Mars/Ludiwg, Medea and Sonia for generic laughing assholes like Pisces (hands down worst character in the show) and the very much last second Abzu. I didn't feel any of the Marsians reached a satisfying conclusion to their arcs after all the setup they had throughout the series like Sonia with Somas, Mars and Medea with their son Eden etc. I found the whole arc with the fight to reach the top of the Sanctuary to be a total time waster/filler in retrospect with only 3 of the gold saints feeling well developed and like they mattered at all in the end.

Seriously all that build up for that kind of conclusion and last minute villain swap to a non-enitity like Abzu who wasn't even that well explained...I don't think I'll beback for the second season. Its been a long time since I've been this disappointed in a show.

If you didn't like the first season, you'll be crying for help when you watch the second season (at least based on the material we get so far).

Oh, and I love that female Pegasus .

Actually, I remember some series having fanservice. Episode.G didn't have much fanservice except for that early scene in which Lythos... Well, you know While Lost Canvas had far more, Kuramada's manga had almost nothing. I think the anime of the original had a bit more but the TenkaiHen's film was symbolic.
