I ended up disliking the teacher a lot tbh. She seemed like she would have been really interesting as more than a one note 'Imma teacher also I like costumes" character. :<

BTW, what do you think will be the songs used for the opening and closing credits for the Second Season? My guess would be Let's Go! for OP and Tsubasa wo Kudasai for ED.

My guess (and I'd be willing to bet on it) is that it'll be two new songs that we've never heard before. Even though there's already a lot of songs to choose from, they're definitely not going to miss the opportunity to solicit new CD Singles. That's why they're making another season after all.

Let's hope there will be less filler and more canon.

The only thing I'll hope for next season is to not make Mio wimpier.

I mean, I'd rather see the girls take advantage of her a few times instead.

That sounded weird...

yeah they probably will have a second
season because the manga's still ongoing
and the first 14 episodes were only released
at the beginning of last year

The crowd reaction.....all it needed was beer and champagne. Then it'll be like the aftermath of a major sports event. XD

Yep sounds like a typical Japanese crowd reaction. Hmmmm.....I wonder if you could get them to pull off the perfect sychronized wave. Personally I could never get excited over that style of music but...well.....

Wait.... the "moe" vector has been in place for a few years at least -- K-On! is just the latest crest of the wave.

As I noted from your artcatch in the image thread... there's some meat to the idea that K-On could be described as "Lucky Star 2.0, Now With Music!!!"

No, they're not actually the same flavor nor are the characters identical, but there's significant commonality. I'm absolutely fine with that as long as it doesn't swamp everything else --- because then we'd never get gems like Spice&Wolf or Bakemonogatari.

I think the second season will be nowhere as good as the first. If you read the manga chapters 29-42 are a bunch of random stuff with no real story. where as the first 28 chapters actually had a good decent story

It would look like k-on! will be more popular among the otakus: this second season... (oh wait I didn't mean westerners)

@vexx: like tvtropes say, lucky star meets BECK

So, Kyoani already announced the 2nd season of K-ON? That was sooner than I expected. One more anime to look for in the next season, now.

Kyoani is establishing itself as the moe company. But actually, almost every anime is moe-oriented nowadays.

K-ON is described as Lucky Star with music, and now we have So-Ra-No-Wo-To, which looks like K-ON in the army, lol.
