The characters for the most part. I honestly found it difficult to actually like most of them.

You should try watching the rest of the episodes, it takes a while to get going but they become better.

I'll put it another way, the only "Masters" that I liked were Waver and Ryuunosuke. Tokiomi almost makes the list, but falls short for not killing everyone when he got Gilgamesh. As for servants... I guess Caster, Rider but that might just be because the got more exposure in the first 2 episodes then the other servants.

I have different reason for disliking each of the characters, and I don't think this is really the place to discuss it.

That's what they say about Inuyasha and Rosario+Vampire as well, but that doesn't mean I want bother with all the crap it takes to get anywhere near decent.
