Your probably right now that I think about him treating Hina the same way. Hayate still keeps quite a lot of his past to himself.

Especially his innermost secrets which he's barely mentioned to anyone. He's grown a lot since the show started, but he's got quite a bit to go. Hina talked about her true past while Hayate is still quite far from telling anybody his.

How long has Hayate work in the mansion? I've been wondering about that.

Well in this episode Hayate has been working for one month. And if I remember well at the end of the first season it was something like one year and a few months.

Okay, yeah, I forgot about that when I made my earlier comment.

That threw me off, too. I had thought he'd been there much longer. But no one's age has advanced according to the bios. If he'd been there over a year everyone would be older.

I think that's unlikely to happen. That scene happen after Nagi loses but before Hayate know about it and while they both (Hayate and Hina) still in the bridge. In the end of the ep you can see they already jump to when they are away from the bridge and already watching the results of the race.
