Yep. Kriino is 3/4 of the show's issues. Take her out and the show is enjoyable again. Good riddens. Unfortunately... I know she is going to return.
Maybe because as many have noticed in the AS choice awards, she won worst character.

I can of felt like I was watching a Genshiken episode. All this series needed to become good was Kirino's disappearance. Can she stay in America forever, please?
Kuroneko was so cute in this episode. She's got quite an attitude, but she's nowhere near as bad as Kirino. Furthermore, her reasons for acting this way are quite endearing. She refused her classmates' invitations because she wanted to spend more time with Kyousuke and Saori, daawww. I love her spunk as well. She outright told Kyousuke she was annoyed by the fact he was using her as a substitute for Kirino. Sena was hilarious. As Kuroneko put it, she clearly exceeded all expectations Looking forward to seeing more of her.

This episode is yet another proof that my enjoyement for this franchise is inversely proportional to Kirino's screentime.
Kuroneko won again more points, and her behaviour was at least "not for the heck of it", nor "suddenly 180°". I must say that she was much more interesting as she simply doesn't beat around the bush while you would expect that kind of things from her character archtype. But not only this episode was almost entierely dedicated to Kuroneko, but the comedy was finally something matching the themes and the audience it was actually destined to. I couldn't help but literally crack in laughter with Sena, who could definitely make Ohno (Genshiken) for her money . I must say this episode made me look towards the next one with great interest now.

I've never hated Kirino, so in all honesty I kinda miss her. Not because I liked her but because Kuroneko is nowhere near as great if she doesn't have a female enemy to rip. No surprises then that I only started to really enjoy this episode once Akagi came into the picture, though Akagi was pretty funny in her own right.
But still, the drama in first half just wasn't great. And I'm a Kuroneko fan.
