hahaha, lily adler and paintings, that's amazing... I was actually expecting somethign alt-universe like muvluv or futakoi alternative, but the adler joke made up for it.

I hope it keeps the same level of off-the-charts insanity as the main series.

Some of the key staff have changed, BTW.

Director: Yoshiaki Iwasaki
Scriptwriter: Takayo Ikami (staff writer on Penguindrum, Kamimemo, and Arcana Famiglia)

The reason this TV special is called Alternative ONE is because it takes place in the game universe and not the TV anime universe, more specific after Milky Holmes 1.5. The producer has also said that it will focus more on mystery solving and toys usage than gags.

I'm glad they will use a serious tone I always expected for years that the TV series lacks. Will definitively watch this.

It's good that they are going more mysterious compared to the regular series. But I like the old moe characters doing gags more.
Well, I guess that's why there is an alternate universe.

For what kind of tone you can expect from the tv special here is some anime action scene from the game.

I like the anime we got. I suppose since this is "alternative" it doesn't have to follow the same tone as the TV show... but even when, in the two previous seasons of Milky Holmes, things were getting unhinged, the girls could still be pretty awesome. And they're just the kind of heroes I like. If the show takes itself too seriously, I can't become invested in it.

I liked some of the gags too since they were clever, but seeing them screw up so often was frustrating at times, especially in the second season where they messed up a lot more often and cared about being detectives even less. Seeing them do well for one episode would be a nice change of pace.

I don't mind the differences of the anime with the games. Its was intended to be comic but.... I wanted to see Kobayashi-san.... ;____;

The tittle of this special is lying me. There will be no Kobayashi-san... orz

Huh? He is in it. If I'm not completely mistaking he is the main character of the special.

I loved this promo pic and is more faithful to the VN's designs. The TV series could've been followed this pattern and stays true to the VN's plot.

It seems that before the TV air you can see the TV special on nico douga (japanese) for 600yen.
It will be available between 8/19 to 8/25.

While it as little to do with the anime finally on 8/8 the sixth and final episode of Milky Holmes 1.5 will be released on PSN. It sure took a while for that since if I remember correctly last episode of 1.5 was released in December.
