If anything, official sources has said that Tieria can control Seravee/Seraphim with just his QBW.

If he has become VEDA, he will have the entire quantum network and he should be able to remote control Seravee/Seraphim.

I don't deny that Tieria wasn't completely paying attention to the Seraphim after the Trial Field was activated. However, as we've seen twice before, when the Seraphim is ejected, it doesn't fly that far--once we saw it happen in the atmosphere, the other in space. The Seraphim had to have been propelled further than normal that last time. Oh, and then there's the case of stopping the Seraphim's momentum as it activated the Trial Field. It wasn't just completely flying out into space, after all.

Hell, they were saying that for the Nadleeh. So Tieria's been capable of it for the last five years or so.

That's just stupid though. What's the point of there being a physical pilot at all?

so the viewer can enjoy watching senseless violence of course. A suicide squad without people in it is not much of a spectacle.

LOL I'm kinda persuaded that Aka Haro is the real pilot of the Raiser and Setsuna let Saji be with him in there just to give him the illusion of having something to do =P

anyway, yes, it's perfectly possible for Tieria to remote-controll his Gundam, but having him (or more in general, having a real living pilot) inside it that makes the fighting interesting and emotional.
I guess they'll eventually give him a new body in the movie - yeah, maybe for the fan's sake, but there's plenty of room for it in terms of plot's coherence with all those clones of Innovades around ^^;- or leave him in VEDA and make him play his part from there, anyway, his personal arc is likely to find a further development in the movie.

If they wanted to kill Tieria for good, they might have had Ribbons destroying VEDA out of blind rage in last episode. They didn't, so they want to keep T-chan around more.

we saw ribbons get an fatal shot.... he did have an new body everytime he died.
so i suppose tieria can get another body too while still connected veda....
ribbons said that 'my conciousness is directly connected to veda'

Maybe controlling the Seravee with QBW all the time will bring a lot of mental stress if used excessively? Perhaps a relation to what happens to Hallelujah when Soma Peries is nearby?

Or maybe there's a limit to what QBW actually does - Tieria might be able to control it to do basic functions, but having him actually pilot it is better because he can physically control the suit and maybe his limbs actually have more strength then his brain does?

His body wasn't dead (I mean Ribbons-shot-him-dead) before he passed on his consciousness to Veda. After he passed his mind to Veda, I can say his body is dead.

Which is creepy, since his body opened its eyes when Tieria activated the Trial Field on Seraphim--if you slow the animation down, as the screen zooms up to Tieria's face, you can clearly see his eyes first closed, and then open as the link to VEDA happens.

I'm not sure, Rising, I remember his eyes were wide opened as he hit the wall of the chamber and the visor of his elmet crashed - and this remind me, also that would have been a problem for his survival. Since both Ribbons and Setsuna wear their elmets there, it's probably and area where you can't breath naturally.

RD's right... Somehow... Tieria DID open his eyes when Regene was fooling around with Ribbons. I think that scene was right before Seraphim had it's Trial Field activated.

Maybe a part of his consciousness remained in his physical body, and reacted to the activation of the Trial Field.
