Considering how big the user base for the Wii is, I really think Namco will be missing out on potential profits if they avoid the localization of this game. I can understand the PS3 port of Tales of Vesperia not making the cut since generally cross ports don't make it over to the States anyway. I'm not too knowledgeable about business ethics and practices so half of what I say about this shouldn't be taken too seriously.

I also hope if they plan to re-release this game for other consoles, they don't go and add new content like Vesperia, oh the inexplicable rage that would ensue!

The most recent trailer:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NyexO8GanA

Looks great. Hubert completely sounds like Rolo though, thanks to him going "Nii-san" out of all of the possible ways to say brother. Pascel sounds like Hayate......................................... Tch................................

The more I see Sophie the more I think I am going to enjoy this character. She's a twin-tailed loli with a dour expression that fights with her fists.

But awww man is that BoA I see as the singer for the opening? That's better than Kotoko by far, but I'm not exactly their biggest fan.

Said everything I was going to say.

Music is lame as is expected, but the game looks pretty epic... and I must say that the blond guy with the cape is... *Drools...*

Cherita is like a gift from god, thank you Namco. Hell, Absel as Yuri and Sophie as Patty doesn't look all that bad either, so I'm wondering why you're cursing out Namco serenade. I'm gonna guess that the rest of the party is going to get Vesperia-themed costumes as well.

I have no idea why I'm so mad.
Probably because I don't have a good impression of TOV, and it is only getting worse whenever I see an idiot spouting how TOV is the best and TOG can't beat it IN videos related to TOG. And it probably got even worse with this.
TOV? Ah~, that hunk of junk.
Anyways, no, no thanks, no way. Don't need TOV COSTUMES OF ALL THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my. I need to see no more media after this video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FULsLr1Z8JQ

so very excited for this game, not that I wasn't interested beforehand.

Pretty much, the first "team destiny" styled game done in 3D, as someone in another forum kindly put it

Also, is it just me, or does the battle theme in the video seem somewhat like a mix between Sakuraba's Tales style and Star Ocean? It's a very good thing, just something that had been nagging me.

I love how the game is now seemless, theres no transition between world map and towns/dungeons. The game is going to be simply massive. I gotta say I'm liking the new battle system.

I am assuming that doesn't also mean that literally everything is one big area right? I'm assuming there are still screen transitions between areas ala Final Fantasy XII.

Very nice trailer... Story doesn't look like it'll disappoint like ToV. Also, I'm hoping Namco doesn't treat this like ToV; I mean what with the PS3 port a year later and stuff.

These Tales of Vesperia costumes are like they're telling us "Hey, we have this other Tales of game! You know, the one you didn't get!". Such a tease.

I don't think so, from the video's the character is just walking in and out of town without transition. Although im pretty sure some of the areas and dungeons will have a transition of sorts.

As long as the game doesn't incorporate the elemental spirits i'll be happy with it. It just seems likes they've begun to bleed out that element for far to long.

Takahiro makes anything worthwhile, that and the Wii is in need of a good JRPG.

I wouldn't mind the elemental spirits. What I would mind is making them an important part of the plot, which in Tales of Symphonia seemed like an excuse to insert extra dungeons to lengthen the game without much story.
