Yeah, they are really going at it this time. Much more intense debate

In terms of pure rhetorical flourish, I think Obama is winning the debate tonight. He isn't missing any chance to stick the barbs in.

I liked how Obama reduced Romney's 5 Point strategy to 1 Point: Let the Rich Off. It may be a little false, but it was stilll blunt and quotable.

It doesn't help that Romney doesn't actually say what his 5 point policy is.

"Mitt Romney doesn't like it when women or African-Americans try to interrupt him." ROTFL.

So Romney's plan to help the middle class:

Remove deductions for education and mortgage interest
Allow no interest to be paid on dividend earnings and non-earned income for those making under $200k

Apparently he thinks everyone makes tens of thousands of dollars in dividends and stock market trading, rather than tens of dollars.

Did Romney just say that the top tax bracket pays a 60% tax rate? O___o

He's has told us his 5 Point strategy (Energy, trade, balance budget, something and something else (I forget the last two)) he's just never elucidated the individual points or how they will work or how they will work together.

---

That beings said, Romney is really doing well on the tax question...

Obama is doing quite the effecient job of one upping Romney on every response. Romney doesn't seem to want to go into the specifics on most anything he is outlining. Granted Obama hasn't gone gungho on any specifics either, but he is certainly doing it on more topics than Romney.

Dear presidential candidates,
Let Candy Crowley finish her questions.

Sincerely,

Well you know he probably wouldn't have to or feel like trying to rebuttal everything if he was more specific about his points the first time he talks about them.

Yeah I was listening to the debate on the way home and wow at Romney's interruptions especially when Obama was trying to answer his own question about the oil production.

Not related to the debate but I heard a good joke that's relevant to the political situation.

Spoiler for Not totally relevant joke:

Haha. "Governor Romney, how are you different from former President Bush?"

LAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!

I don't see any difference between Republican candidates unless it comes to a special character like Ronald Reagan.

Funny, how Romney repeats certain things:
"Obama raised twice the deficit"
"I come from small businesses"
"I know how a good economy, I've been in one"

One that learned that allowing Mitt Romney to completely rattle on and stop people midway is bad moderating.

I disagree 100%. What the hell is she doing bringing up Bush? Why is this whole thing 2v1? Once again the Democrat gets 2 minutes more of talking time as another debate goes on.

Where in the hell are the un-biased, intelligent moderators? 3 in a row that are absolutely horrible, and this is not doing our political system any justice.
