I think you misunderstood what Asem meant. He felt that letting the Vagans retain control of Luna would disrupt the balance, so he's going to help the Federation take it back. Otherwise it'd make it easy for the Vagans to win the war in their favor, especially if they're going to do something like move the Second Moon to Earth.

Is Asem against Second Moon going to Earth? That seems like the best outcome for the series, the Vagans escape Mars and settle on the Earth Sphere, war ends, everybody's happy.

except for the fact that many of the Vagan still want to murder earthlings...

You know no matter how you slice it I really can't see peace between the Vagan and Earthlings happening very fast after all there has been a lot of blood spilled and old wombs seldom fade.

As it stands, the Vagans taking control of Luna and using it to secure a route for Second Moon to show up means they're transporting ALL of their remaining forces against a severely weakened Federation. That'd be the last thing any native Earther would want, Asem included.

So Kio is the second coming of Kira Yamato.......not really surprised....most people saw this coming the moment Kio was captured by the Vagans. :P

Hearing Flit say he'll exterminate EVERY SINGLE freaking Vagan did not sound quite right to me though.

Also Freedom is not that OP (5 guns? I liked the episode. I'm not sure how I feel about Kio going Kira, although it is the most logical conclusion of all this.

I just hope he won't make the same mistakes that Kira did. At least he's showing that he's still a kid.

And lets get this straight once again.

When Flit says "Wipe out the Vegans", he means ALL the Vegans. That's what you get for not eating meat or dairy products.

Funnels that can only melee? Funnels vs. Bits? A Gundam First?

I can see why they can't shoot because those tiny shots won't damage Vagan armor(ex. Dark Hound's weak Lance rifle), compared to the Fed's much weaker armor.

I also have to hope that there's some more justification given for Asemu's decision to go space pirate. I could perhaps understand abandoning his wife and newborn child for a time if he believed that there was something he could do to decisively end the war, but leaving his family just to aid in the attempt to slowly, slowly chip away at the war effort (Assuming the Visidians' techniques and methodology even work at all)... yeah, the reason he left everyone behind is far too weak for him to be excused.

To be fair though, all the bits EXCEPT the Farsia bits are all technically melee. Probably easier to control than UC bits too since you only have to smash them into targets instead of moving and aiming them.
