Concerning the FMP novels....

I wanted to ask a quick question to those people who have read the original novels (Tatakau Boy Meets Girl ect...). By original, I hope someone's read them in Japanese.
In the novels, is there hiragana typed beside the kanji?
The thing is, I'd really like to read the novels from the beginning, but although I'm Japanese, I cannot read 99% of the kanji.
Anyways, hope someone can have an answer!

Name of Japanese Production

What is the original company that makes FMP? As in Japan what would be the name of the studio if it is made in Japan.

Kyoto Animation and Gonzo teamed up for the first season (I believe it was Gonzo). FMP?Fumoffu and FMP!TSR were both handled by only Kyoto Animation.

Trivia info: in the original novel, Sousuke's handgun is a Glock 19. In the anime versions, his handgun is a Glock 26.
Like this? It's huge.

There's more where that came from. I got an HK P8, some unidentified gun, a SIG Sauer P226, and a Walther TPH too.

It's not huge... BTW the Glock 26 is called 'Baby Glock' as it fits well as a back-up gun.

...I meant the actual picture was huge, not the gun. I knew they called it the "Baby Glock," but do you know what "G.A.P." means?

Well, I read a Glock magazine (actual magazine, not ammo clip, lol), and it featured GAPs, which means "Glock Auto Pistol." Basicly, the Glock that Sagara uses is the original style. GAPs look very similar, but they're slightly larger (and thus can be higher calibur, or something like that).

Now you know!

Here's more pics of guns used in the original anime (first season).

Clearer warning this time: large resolutions! Dial-up users, beware!

Click for larger image (click the larger image for the max resolution, lol).

Heckler & Koch P8

Browning FN HP-DA (thanks T.V.)

Sig Sauer P226 (with silencer, I presume)

Did you know that Simon (Seras Victoria's ill-fated Police-friend) in Hellsing Ultimate OVA 1 also used a Sig Sauer P226? Look closely!

And one more:

Walther Model TPH

Have fun scrutinizing those!

Pretty interesting sheets.
Do you have others, like for the assault rifles and maybe the mechs and their armaments?

I really like this attention to detail put into the series.
Gives the story a realistic feel despite it not being very realistic at all.

However, you could possibly tip it as the most realistic "realistic mecha" genre basic anime to date.

Ah!

You was talking about the model 18... I didn't realize!

The model 18 it's the full auto by Glock but some people "makes" full auto versions from the 17 and 19 models and the differences - basicly - are the capacity and a fire selector. Also has a "C" version which includes a compensation system on the barrel what needs a slight more powerful ammo charge to produce any effect.

Thanks T.V.!

Yeah, I've got more, but that's it for the guns. Here's an interesting pic of the TDD-1's seating arrangment, lol...

I have a ton of mech sheets. Like 20-something total. It's going to take me a while to get them all up, lol...

EDIT: Nevermind, I lied. There are more guns! They're mech sized though.

And one sword (Mao's?)...

EDIT2: Make that one sword and a knife! Omgwtfbbq!

Something I didn't get [SPOILERS]

This is about a discrepancy between the novels and the anime.

In the anime, in TSR, we have the episode with Sousuke and the prostitute. This doesn't happen in the novels (I don't have a problem with the discrepancy, just need something cleared up).

Spoiler:

Anyone able to confirm/deny?

It's a chinese girl who reminds Sousuke of Kaname through her looks, but is otherwise a completely different person.

At that point in time Kaname is not in Hong Kong, or has just arrived at the Hong Kong office of the Information Bureau.

At MO:
Nice stuff!
I actually meant the weapons of the mechs as well.

I surmise you're talking about Boku-Tachi, right? It's the group scanlating Shouji Gatoh's works - at least the major novels, plus the FMP:Sigma manga (though updates are slow for FMP:S).

The mirror download site is at http://pwolfamv.com/FMP/

Novels are in .pdf format. You need Acrobat Reader for that. v.5.0 or 7.0 is suggested.
Manga is in .zip archives. WinZip, WinAce or WinRar is required.
