Judging by the Doctor's voice, the Doctor is female in the anime.

Sounds more "androgynous" than outright female.

HyperGryph have been very careful to never confirm the Doctor's gender.

Well, why not. Girls frontline problem isn't having female commander, it's that this female commander is Gentiane. Putting that aside, it pains me that director Girls Frontline doesn't get where it's appeal lies while director of it's inferior knock off (arknight) seems to get it right.

I calling it now Arknight anime will be better then Girls Frontline.

Eh, 50/50. I heard both side of the spectrum, so maybe they're keeping it androgynous.

GFL anime seems to be following the manga. While it does have its strong point, for some reason I just can't seem to get into it.

I am not convinced manga has any particular "strong point". Well, outside of not being straight down terrible. It's one to one to what amount to prologue, but getting that on page/screen require more then that.

And yes. AK is literally.made by MICA ex-developer(s) and both games check same checkboxes, but as far as writing and characters goes GF wins big time (AK in other hand has game client that does not crash once you give it mean look). Well from AK trailer alone it appears that studio goes for gritty dramatic approach which have both games in common, but only one of their adaptation.

We have voices up to Skullshatterer. So we'll cover up to episode 3, the whole initial Act in the game. Can that fit in 8 episodes I wonder.
Sakamoto Maaya as Talulah is a pretty amazing casting. Frostnova when?

I reckon yes. Since chapters 0 and 1 spans 3 hours in universe time and are quite short. Likely going to be max 3 episodes for Chernobog and the rest in Lungmen. I hope the events that take place in parallel outside of Doctor's group get animated as well.
Frostnova never (this season), I think. Unless they want to tease at the end.

Man, the oripathy animated (rather than described in text) definitely looks painful. Looks worse than eczema or other skin disease.

Glad to see another Girls' Frontline enjoyer here!

I think the HUGE problem with GFL's adptation is that it didn't reach the Singularity - the moment when Girls' Frontline truly show us how much we understimated complex, brutal and vast world of GFL.

Well god damn, Episode 1 was perfect. They perfectly captured the war feel of the game and sense of tragedy.

Hope this stays at this quality, which I dont see any reason for it not to.
