Currently replaying Muv-Luv so that I'm up to speed when I finish school and play Alternative. I finished Extra today, and am replaying Unlimited.

I heard all three games will be ported to Xbox360. Honestly, these games don't need ero- scenes. The story, the characters and the various situations are something that normal games should feel ashamed. I hated the fact that all of the endings are bittersweet. The Unlimited's one with Meiya's epilogue was heartbreaking. If I hear someone say bye-bye to me again I'll kill him!

Alternative is indeed epic. It should have been made into anime series.

Good luck. Who are your favorite characters if I may ask?

If you're talking about the heroines, then:

1. Sumika (I've always liked Tsundere childhood friend characters.)

2. Chizuru (Honestly, I don't know why I like her so much, but I really like her character for some reason.)

3. Meiya (I didn't really like her in Extra, but I thought she was a lot better in Unlimited.)

4. Miki (Don't really have an opinion on her.)

5. Mikoto (Same as above, though I did find s/he amusing.)

6. Ayamine (I find her really annoying for some reason.)

I also really liked Takeru, especially his character development, and I look forward to the way he'll go in Alternative.

^ Agreed with you there. I never had a favorite VN character but Takeru stole that spot now. He really came a long way and became something of a badass. And to me, Meiya became something of a goddess, so I bow to her.

Couldn't resist so I picked up and finished MUV - LUV Alternative. Holy crap it was good.. what am I saying, not just good, it was phenomenal! I considered Fate/Stay Night to be one of the best VN around, but honestly it can't hold a candle to this game. The presentation, the tension and overall gameplay atmoshpere can't be described by words alone. I implore everyone who likes VN and mecha to pick this up.

The Unlimited ending was heartbreaking but dear Lord, Alternative's one is even worse. I'm utterly devastated now... should go watch some comedy, pronto!

Muv-Luv Alternative was such a great game, I spent my whole weekend to finish this game. And the final is just awesome, it's even sadder than Unlimited.

Takeru is a great protagonist with his development in the course of the series. And Meiya is my favorite heroine with Sumika in a close second.

I adore Meiya. My next signature will feature her without a question.

To peek some more interest, I'll just leave these few images here
Spoiler for Awesome images from the game:

Currently my Favorite VN is Muvluv Alternative as well due to its epicness and replacing Ever 17 as the my most favorite VN so far.

So who's pumped for Kamidori? I sure as hell am, the demo was awesome. Fire Emblem + Atelier-style item creation is such an addicting combo.

Sono Hanabira. Being one of the first visual novels to feature nothing but yuri relationships is a plus for me, and there's never a feeling of it being over-erotic. Mai X Reo is a couple that actually lived up to the hype I've heard from other people.

The Muv Luv trilogy is really interesting me. I've gotten through the first part of Muv Luv, and am currently playing the second half.

If you need recommendations for other awesome eroge, Subarashiki Hibi is I think the second-highest ranked VN on erogamescape and supposedly eclipsed Muv-luv alternative for some time. I've only played a little bit of it so far and it's very, very good.

^ If anything, that game does an awesome job in presenting heartwarming, and at the same time bold, sexy love between girls. Wish there were more games like that.

Just started Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai, and even though I'm still at prologue I'm simply amazed by it's awesomeness. The atmosphere is simply incredible, I think I will have no problem playing the game multiple times. Skipping the text should be a sin in this game. The characters, even those supporting ones, are simply amazing.

Started playing Wanko to Kurasou again a while back so I guess that's one .. Risa is just so hot/cute.

A more recent one would be Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke o Anata to Koibito Tsunagi since it got an English translation. Reo is just so cute .. HNNGGGHH .. Also their dialogue is quite hilarious at times, at least at the beginning.

Edit : Goddamn. Already finished Sono Hanabira. It just suddenly ended with text '' Half way end '' though I'm only missing 2 more images so I don't see how that's '' half way ''. Everything about this VN was just so beautiful .. just like the OVA. I wish the other ones of the same series were translated

Late to the party but I've been reading Full Metal Daemon Muramasa over the last week. Finished fukushuu-hen and eiyuu-hen so far.

My god, this is one of the best stories that ever came out of Japan's entertainment industry. It tackles so many so very complex themes with such amazing writing and characters...the final parts of eiyuu-hen just blew me away. This is so far above any other VN I've ever read, it's not funny.

Also, dat OP-Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le2zxWrD294
