Who are the up-and-coming successors to Kuwashima Houko or Sawashiro Miyuki, or Sakurai Takahiro or Namikawa Daisuke, actors who have excelled in a wide variety of roles? Kanazawa Hana and Tomatsu Haruka have shown pretty decent range. Yuuki Aoi might be another. I can't think of any men aged 25 or under that have caught my attention.

I thought the Kill la Kill cast was especially talented and surprisingly mature. At 28, Koshimizu Ami was one of the youngest actors. I found it striking that most of the main cast was voiced by people aged forty and older. Thinking over other recent shows with strong casts, I looked at the actors appearing in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. Most of them are over thirty as well. Psycho-Pass also had an older cast; Kanazawa at 25 was the youngest of the bunch. Are these shows outliers? I thought most seiyuu, particularly actresses, were in their late teens and twenties. I don't generally watch adolescent comedies any more unless they are unusual like the two mentioned above. Are there younger seiyuu there I should be keeping my eye on?
Now don't quote me on this cause it's fuzzy.

But I remember a blurb or something somewhere by Kotono Mitsuishi. Basically saying something along the lines that the seiyuu biz like all other anime biz is hard trudging work with low pay for most. That plus other reasons equals finite number of anime/games ergo finite number of new seiyuu on the block, at least that's what I gather.

Happy Birthday to Mai Kadowaki.

I hope she gets casted in more roles than being continued to be casted as Ilya in the future...

Is Hirano Aya being "ghettoized" into doing weird aliens now? I think she's terrific as Migi in Parasyte, and I enjoyed her work as Pai-man in Gatchaman Crowds as well. Still she has a lot of range and could easily voice more serious roles. Her work as Chizuko in Nijuu Mensou no Musume was one of her best performances.

Is she still being ostracized from more mainstream roles?

One assumes she'll be back doing Haruhi in "The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan" whenever that comes out.

Mikako-shi's rokusu single PV - Latimer Road

Mikako-shi kawaeee ٩(˃̶͈̀௰˂̶͈́)و

I was expecting something like the ABC PV, because the song was again composed by Nakamura Hiroshi (i-dep), who also did the OwaMelo (Kami-nai ED).

I can't wait to listen to the other song in the normal edition of the single.

I didn't know this is apparently is a thing...

Best looking Voice actors:

Guys

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/inte...-actors/.79983

Ladies

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/inte...tresses/.79921

--Most of the actresses are cute, though I don't think Hanazawa is the hottest. Marina Inoue or Sawashiro are better looking.

--I guess people like Yui Horie or Sayaka Ohara are unfortuntely considered ancient.

--Miyano's cute and talented. But Suzuki is better looking.

--I adore Kamiya but NOPE. He's average.

--Sometimes Daisuke Ono looks great in other pictures and other times he just looks average...However, if this was a sexiest voice contest? He'd win hands down fo'sure

--I think I'm starting to crush on Nobunaga Shimuzaki though. He's really adorable and has a seriously nice smile.

--KENN is ugly though.

I'm satisfied with Sawashiro just making the top five, though I guess people preferred Hanazawa's more cutesy look .

Personally, I'd probably move some of them around but overall I can understand the reasoning for who ended up in the top 10. I think their are some seiyuu that I think should've made the list instead, but that might be my own bias speaking.

Yeah, it's likely because of their age that they didn't make the cut, even though girls like Yui Horie, Yukari Tamura, Sayaka Ohara, and Rie Tanaka, look pretty stunning for women in their late 30's. At least their being married doesn't seem to be a factor, considering Mamoru Miyano being #1 for the guys and Miyuki Sawashiro's as #5 for the ladies.

With Miyuki Sawashiro winning for the ladies hands down .

Consider how old Kikuko Inoue is at (error detected, changing numerals) -17-, she looks pretty good.

Inoue is prettier than all of those girls put together.

Yui Horie is married? I know Sawashiro is but I thought Horie was still single.

I knew Miyano's married but I remember reading that his wife got harassed sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad by the fans...

Yes she's doing well, though she's still 17 might help.

Her dub counterpart seems to be Wendee Lee, who is still voicing little girls as 40+, not sure if Lee has actually redubbed an Inoue part though.

They have done different characters in Lucky Star & the Streamline dub of Naria The Secret Of Blue Water
