That's what I'm saying, it would be pretty sad if this series is as successful as it is because nerds are turned on by its characters. I think this series deserves its success, but for completely different reasons.

I think it's relevant to note that Nadeko identifies as a child relative to the other members of the cast. Regardless of her actual age, she thinks of herself as significantly younger than them and acts appropriately. Treating Araragi as an authority figure for example.

Nadeko does younger than other people. But not that much. I suppose it is because of her portray as a cute younger sister. That's why she is treated like a loli.

If Koyomi is 165cm, she looks around 150cm in that picture, or around 4'11". That's not even that short by adult standards in Japan (5'2" or 158cm for 19 year old girls in 2006), and puts her in the same general size class as characters like Kei and Chihiro in EF.

I suspect the main reason she tends to get misidentified as a loli has to do with the her saying "You're all grown up, so you won't feel dirty looking at my body, right?" to Koyomi. Even I was wondering a bit after that.

She's thought process disruption inducingly cute regardless.

She has the body of a loli (somewhat), but she definitely has the mindset of an adult. She is like a snake stalking Araragi's snake......irony.

That said, one of my brothers was stuck at about 170cm for around 2-3 years before he suddenly shot up another 10 cm after he graduated from high school...

I think it's also cause she is younger[same age as his sisters] and in middle school while other are in high school.
