When I said main Personae, I was talking about the onese they start with. In either the artbooks or an interview for the original (I forget which, it's been a long time), the game's staff decided to go with Japanese figures for the playable characters as opposed to P1 to P3's foreign myths because P4's setting was in the Japanese countryside. They were only talking about the starters. The MC's other Personae were still from various mythologies.

Samael is in Persona 4, but it's only a Persona Yuu can fuse and use himself. It's arcana is Death so there's still a chance Yuu may use it in the anime:

He is, you guys just miscommunicated. "Dragon" Seth is more popularly known as Set of Egyptian mythology. Trinity Soul's Seth is Adam and Eve's third son.

EDIT: Also, Chaos, you don't want the regular SMT depiction of Thanatos, it's pretty boring. P3's was the better design, and Atlus never reuses a main cast member's Persona design in other games (see P2:IS's Hermes and P3's Hermes). If they had Thanatos in another Persona game as one of the Wild Card Personae, they'll use the standard design, which is just a cloaked dude with boils covering his body and holding a dagger.

Uber off topic here, but to clear up this misunderstanding...

The Seth in TS is from the biblical reference, one of the son of Adam and Eve (don't ask me on details, google it! Or wiki it!).

The generally acknowledged Seth in Persona series (aka the black dragon form) is of Egyptian God mythology.

Basically those two Personas are of different origin, so SilverSkyo's point of it already being a (name of a) main Persona in P:TS really don't hold much argument, TS being canon or not

This episode made me breathless from laughing too hard . Oh Shadow Kanji's awesomeness, Yosuke and Chie's overreactions and Yu's deadpan humour

Though the animation and direction still seemed off at some places, but not that I really mind since I was busy trying to cover my mouth .

The fusion summoning scene looked kinda epic here.
