It was a fun episode, but so much moeeeeeeeeee~ that it's not even funny.

However, so nostalgic. ... Can I survive another season... YES I CAN!...

Rating: 8.7/10

It seems thus that if Season 2 were to follow closely with the manga it would get derided as "overly-moe" once more.

KyoAni might have to go their own route on this one...

Nice to see an episode that deals more with the band side of things than the teatime; the balance of moe and story was much better than in the series. Now I can finally feel enthusiastic about season 2.

And man, was the animation always this good?

Hilarious. Good stuff. I have no complaints and I can't begin to say what I liked otherwise I'd be here all night.

And I hope Azusa's boyfriend(s) likes cat girls.

Agreed. It had the same charm the first half fo the series had. I thought the second half dragged on a little. It was still good, but not the same as it was.

Incredible episode, it captured the spirit of the series at its very best perfectly. It might just be my favorite episode out of the whole series. It had all the charm and humor I remember, and that little extra magical ingredient that makes it stand out among its kind.

I didn't know there was an OVA in the making, so this was a very pleasant surprise; a great way to finish the series off. Can't get enough Yui.

I was intrigued by the "competing" band.... had a bit of a feel like in "Shaun of the Dead" when our not-so-heroes encounter another group of more-like-heroes

This was an OVA level episode.... (better than usual). But I do hope for more musical interludes in the next season.

By the way, how come that while it's cold enough for them to wear scarfs both in the club room and backstage in the club, they still wear short skirts?

(Not necessarily a complaint, mind you )

Japan pop fashion culture.... it can be snowing buckets and they STILL wear skirts. The hosiery/stockings/socks just get thicker.

Not quite the level of "Sad girls in Snow...yet still in skirts" mind-boggle.

I was expecting a Suzumiya Haruhi "God Knows" epic-performance, or at least something close to it, since season 1 didn't really give us that. I hope they can at least do something half as good in season 2... but oh well, this was an okay-regular-like episode. 7/10.

I am her ex-boyfriend. She is my waifu now.

Ritsu's expression of "When the bassist strips, put the spotlight on her" sounds ridiculous. How are we going to make her strip in the first place?

Yeah. Sorry my mind is still under the influence of a drug called moe.

Spoiler for NSFW but lots of moe:

Everyone is still waiting for an epic like that. I was a little disappointed we didn't get to see them perform at least a little.

It was trip. If they had strip I would have read it as trip because that's what Mio did in the past.

Someone's mind is in the gutter...

That's one crazy sticker pass. Yui swapped it over three times and it's still hanging in there. The lint from the socks should of finished it off..

Mio's back and she's still charming. Nothing too overboard but just enough goodness to make the episode even more awesome.

This episode looks like an anime original event? I would be fine if they went with something like this in season two.

I just love how Mio's New Year "thank you" rendered Ritsu speechless for a few seconds.

Also since this came out at almost the same time as SoRaNoWoTo, I got to watch both in quick succession, and I could really say that the two are significantly different.
