Not to mention, aside from the fact that we wouldn't have been copped-out of the Iihiko damage if the story wasn't going to continue, this is far too rushed and unconnected to be the ending of the entire manga.

Or even more glaring, the fact that there are tons of open plotlines. Like Kumagawa's. Nishio wouldn't dare to end the series before Kumagawa wins.

So there are two ways to look at this.
1) It is going to end, and the color page is a send off.
or
2) The color page is to commemorate the start of a brand new arc.

The preview announcing the color page next issue didn't specify that it was the last chapter, so that's kinda suspect.
Again, nothing is really fact yet, but that's just what it feels like.

Well, the Election arc also got a color page in a sort of epilogue after the climax, Medaka and Ajimu.

Strangely enough, that was a very good arc to end the manga in(if Nishio added the extra volume pages and closed the open plotlines).

Agreed. The Jet Black arc felt like filler to me. Especially since the Election arc felt like a good place to end the series.

There's no need to say this, but... it's not Iihiko's damage isn't reversed. Once he dies, the effect disappears, so normally this would mean that even if Medaka can heal herself with the Five Works, she can't still bring the death back. But this what All Fiction is for.

Either way, Medaka has never seen Hundred Gauntlets and no one but Ajimu knows what it does, so she's probably not capable of using it.

Her All-Fiction is probably better, come to think of it. I remember something about her skill "perfecting" the acquired skills or whatnot.

Then again, Hinokage did state that Chougasaki's Encounter was even more complete than Medaka's The End.
And yet she can use Encounter herself.

I wondered if at this point even Medaka forgot about her hundreds of powers (rough estimate). Still, having moral compunctions against using them makes even less sense, so that's probably what happened.
