Many schools feel that way

Even index doesn't describe every person in the crowd.

True. Touma's school itself isn't well described. But one can probably surmise its mostly a normal school. In comparison ISA doesn't seem like an ordinary school at all. Well they have the bonus material that lets you have a 3D diagram of ISA. But the way its written its as if there is an assumption where each place is. A little world building you know? He has the premise down pat to suck us in. He already has boobs to keep the leches occupied. Something for the geeks ya know?

Touma's school doesn't even get a NAME :/ Everybody calls it "A certain High School", but I reaally doubt that's the official name. Anyway, its usually because no one cares where every exact building is. I don't particularly care where anything but the hangar bay is located, and they explained where it was: Next to the open field.

Well, it's not like I'm the most silent complainer, but yeah. Geeks like us crammed together in tiny place in this fandom.

In fact, many Light Novel are. The physic in [Heavy Object] (same author as Index) is wonky, trying to present itself as harder than UC gundam but fail anyway. Ion booster to make 200.000 ton land battleship hover, for starter. Spacebattles will cry if they read it.

What it boasted is technological consistency and good storytelling, as well as good character.

Also what eras said, can't put everything in one basket... and this one basket is full of T&A... so yeah, no room...

Uh... Where's the open field? Middle of the island? Corner of the island? Close to the school buildings. Crowded along with the other arenas? Something?

Dorm is the building in the green area

As for which side is north, dunno.

The monorail should be connected to Odaiba, which meant I.S. Academy is somewhere in Tokyo bay.

*nabs every frame of Chifuyu* No question about the art quality so far, but do they have to *pose* like that? Especially you, Chifuyu, arching your back so much... No wonder Ichika has to massage you down every so often...

I shall follow this iteration for the art but I shall rage if they skip Chifuyu's beach scene like the previous one did.

Petty reason maybe, but I want to see if the I.S. design follow novel, anime, or old manga. Maybe later.

Well, you already know my particular coping mechanism. XD They are all just little girls who don't know better - I'll stick around the two *women* at the front of the class. Although, I had to laugh when it seemed that Maya's boobs were talk more than Maya herself...

How are the dorms divided? What was that garden Ichika and Houki were at? Is, there any other location than those colored areas and the cafeteria?

Too small, but what I remember it's simply split into two section which shared one large lobby.

Staff dorm likely the smaller box pitted between it.

There was... I remember the teacher in charge of it is almost past marrigable age. Supposedly still pretty but has a thing for hot blooded guys
