You're a man after my own heart, Shiroth. I too enjoy seeing Stella (Satellizer is her first name, her friends shorten it to Stella, El Bridgette is her last name) act kindly.

First ep was good, but the fanservice shots worry me. Hopefully they will keep a focus on story and avoid devolving this into a mindless fanservice shit show like with what happened with Asobi ni Iku yo.

Freezing. Al Hail to the Queen
I can vaguely recall that I started reading the manhwa about less than two years ago, and while at the start of reading it the characters (particularly the design) were different from usual manga style, I quickly grew and warmed up to the story finding it engaging.
I've seen now the first episode, but the fanservice quota is definitely higher and less tamed than in the manhwa. Also, the bloodshed and almost-gore carnival is explicitly graphic in comparison to the manhwa which tends to be a little bit more tame. Finally, almost all of the first episode was original content which was not present in the first chapter of the manhwa. Spoiler:
It surprised me to found out at the end of the episode that Mamiko Noto provides the voice for Satellizer, since I thought her role was limited to Kazuha's sister. This is a one a few and rare ocassions where voices cold-distant characters. |

really... the male protagonist hugging her with his face snuggling her boobs... uhh... yeah (really japan?). i'll see how they'll handle the next episode or two before dropping it. also, i read the manga so my comment on this adaption is biased from what the first episode showed. i'm sure it might be different for you guys who might be trying to get a grasp on what the story and plot is.

when i typed that, i meant (really japan?) as a direct comment to the japanese staff who are in charge of this anime adaption project. and i totally forgot korean comics are called manhwas since it's been so long since i read any. my fault, but yes i am aware the source material is from a korean comic book. the only thing i love about this freezing anime adaption is the OP so far.

Freezing is listed under manga rather than manhwa in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freezing_(comics) http://myanimelist.net/manga/5911/Freezing http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...a.php?id=11822 (ANN doesn't allow manhwa. Try to find Aflame Inferno.) http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Freezing But listed in manhwa in: http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=14963 The verdict: Nobody knows, but consensus seems to be that it's manga. (It was probably published first in Japan and then later in Korea, but I don't actually know)

IMO, the art of this manwha is better than anime version.

Either way, if you're right, then Wikipedia, MAL, ANN, and TvTropes are all wrong (which is possible). So you should go edit those pages and fix it so that the misinformation doesn't spread further. I don't actually know what it should be categorized under. I was just going by what those sites said. Regardless, this is kind of off topic...

On topic, the episode was slightly expected coming from watch the last... year and a half. A lot more fan service than I expected but then I think back to sekirei, rosario, to love ru, highschool of the dead, and well I could go on for a while but that would be pointless. I hope that atx keeps the uncensored version.
