Judging from what the leader of the wing-people said, this is only the latest of many countries that have fallen/been overthrown. So there will surely be larger - and more competent - challenges looming on the horizon. I also found it extremely interesting to see the wing-people's leader react the way he did when he heard that the country would be named "Tusukuru". Did he actually know her somehow? Or could that name carry some other connotation that we are not yet aware of? I'm looking forward to learning the answers. I do hope that the series takes a few episodes to catch its breath and allow for some character interaction and development before starting the next action arc. That sort of information is what causes me to care about (or despise) characters in a series, and makes it all the more interesting when things happen to them later.
Ah, almost forgot about that... I doubt there's a direct connection between this country having fallen (what was the old name, anyway?) and others. My guess is some large powerhungry country is trying to expand its territory and taking over other countries. Which means that sooner or later they'll be gunning for Tusukuru and the wing-people country (which already seems involved). Tusukuru and wing-country starting an alliance is not unlikely if that's the case. Although I have no idea why the name Tusukuru would startle him that much, perhaps granny was pretty notorious in her younger years? The wing-people leader seems old enough, it's possible he knew her in the past.

I want to know where this winged-people country is, and what relation do they have to the rest of the "world." Speaking of which, it'll be nice to have a sense of the rest of the world, like the other countries, their tech level, species etc etc. All we have seen so far is Hakuoro's country.

It'll probably be explained to Hakuoro in the next episode anyway, so sit tight.

They don't pick the place to build a fortress because of how beautiful it is..... Remember, a guy like the emperor would incur a lot of displeasure from the people, and there's the chance of a rebellion, so obviously, for the best success of winning, the base must be in a good strategic location. Too bad for him Hakuoro won.

Well, regarding this, ALOT is still left in the open.., we do not even know how far they realy are in terms of an important community in the world; what I am saying is.., the degree of importance relatively at each country has yet to been shown to us.

Never the less.., this new one (now created by Hakuoro and the rebellion) surely has its significance, otherwhise the king of the winged-people country would not have shown such interest towards it.

Altough.., I am also wondering on how and where he reconized the name.., it is possible that he had met before Tusukuru-sama in person himself.

Regarding the Emperor's fortress.., I belive that is the same fortress that we see in the OP.., so I belive it has some relative importance in the up-comming arcs..; as in.. where surely some important things will happen.

Its possible that other country's might then try to place a siege on it.., but like previously mencioned, its landspace is pretty good in what refers to a strategic location.

Or so I think ^^

I dont think that was a good strategic location... specially the highground from behind. If you don't control that area then the fortress will just be bombed from above.

Well... a wood fortress is weird already!

I was about to comment on that Eh, TW's right, theres high ground directly behind the Fortress, and as far as I can see, not much of a margin between the wall and the cliff. People can parasail down or something. Notice too the tall Tower:

Its almost on level with the high ground. Not good. Means a direct shot for snipers..

I think so too, but it looked so much cooler in the OP!! With the angel and all

Well I'm really looking forward to the next few eps where the story world will be expanded and hopefully, some character development take place.

His country now is it? I think his charisma level is higher than I thought, even we are starting to get affected by it.

The winged leader would properbly want one of his daughters to give their hand in marriage to him and getting a massive alliance in the process, hakuoro has got it made.

Hakouro: " Damn i'm doing good"

Angel girl at the end of the op. most likely knows Hakuoro's true identity, Most likely the one that calmed him down to what ever he was, if he was something other than human to beging with. Well he seems to have alot of knowledge, he could had been a scientist in his past and properbly one of his experiments went wrong, but whats with the angel girl? Errrr... Do we have a future/speculation thread?

Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if all the little girls in the country were to call him "daddy" from now on.
Maybe Hakuoro was a pimp before losing his memory.

This has become one of my best episodes packed in action and battle drama.

The far away shots rendered of CG were marvelous, and the movie quality of the soundtrack keeps on to amaze me.

Inkara's doomed fate was already foretold. Nuwangi is just as doomed as well, if it weren't for Eruruu's will to set him off free.

Spoiler:

Of course, Hakuoro's not without his faults either. As he becomes more involved and in contact for the need of the people, he grows more distanced and missing far away from both Eruruu and Aruruu's grasp.
Spoiler:

Why Eruruu spares Nuwangi, though he's a despicable bastard?
Spoiler:

Why Hakuoro prevents Benawi's fate?
Spoiler:

It will be interesting to witness Hakuoro and his people confronting other nations whose leaders know how to guide and organize their people because they too care for their welfare, just like the same manner that Hakuoro and his people do.

The winged people.

Eruruu is a healer/doctor. Doctors, thoeretically, are supposed to want to save lives. As far as not throwing him in prison, I would think it has to do with what you stated, that they are childhood friends. Otherwise, she didn't really want to waste her cooking for his prison food.

I bet that Nuwangi will one day take a shot for Eruruu, thus giving his life for someone that gave him another chance at life. If Nuwangi was still a bastard, he would have returned to the fortress and remain as Samurai leader.

I had prefered to see the game version for the confrontation between Eruruu and the captured Nuwangi. There she make him realize the error of his ways.

Spoiler for The game ending of Nuwangi:

good episode i liked seeing all the outlining villages come together for a common goal. it just goes to show never underestimate your enemy even if they are just farmers. A person who is despreate and fighting for a cause combined with good leadership can be very deadly. i would have liked to have seen somemore interaction between the charcters
