Am I the only person who is disappointed that Natsu is taking down guys that he should have no way of taking down? Just of the top of my head I'm thinking of Gerald and Luxus. The Luxus win might be excused by the 2v1 and fairy law taking up alot of magic, but how the hell did he beat Gerald? And am I the only person slightly bugged that Mistgun appeared for a bit, went toe to toe with Luxus with a while, then just basically left and went "I'll leave this to you, cya later."

Oh c'mon, Natsu taking down Gerald was a fluke and a half. He ate the ultimate magic AEtherion - something that made him sick for days afterward and who knows what other side effects that might have given him. It's like Goku eating a DragonBall...

Even those who champion Natsu will admit that taking down Gerad was a fluke - a hot-blooded fluke, mind you - he made 'Big Sister Ezra' cry and you know how little brothers will rip apart dimensions to avenge their big sisters ("Only *I* can make my sister cry!").

As for MistGun...*shrugs*

... keep in mind this is also a shounen manga- no matter how ridiculous, there's always a device to allow the main protagonist to kick their enemies' ass (though not before they get beat down themselves)

Though yes, the Gerard was a lucky thing for Natsu... and against Luxus, well, I admittedly haven't gotten to reading that far, but again, the main idea is that the protagonist always wins in the end

Well Natsu got uber DS skills, he's not just your everyday dragon slayer, and they both admitted to losing (if either was fighting 1-1 from the beginning things would be bad). Random question, now that Mirajane got her powers back is she going to revert to being abusive and start brawling with the others too?

more like she will still show her lovely happy angelic face then when gets out of hand she will show the demon face and scare the offender into submission.

She was mentioned very briefly when we actually saw ignell...
"someone" was talking to Ignell saying that soon Natsu would have to meet Wendy... and that's it... and for some reason that was enough to ship NatsuXWendy...

Hi everyone.. i just started reading fair tail yesterday and i was wondering how come it is so similar (story, character design, etc) to One piece but from different authors? I know they have many differences but when when i look at natsuo i remember our gum-gum captain from one piece (i mean they both have a mortal weakness... one cant swim and the other cant fight on a transport) and Lucy = Nami in so many ways ! And those crazy hairstyle, character designs, clothes, transports and buildings... and happy = the straw hat

The only thing i can think of is that those similarities were done on purpose... i mean the little guy from rave appears too -.-

Which little guy from Rave might that be? Anyway, the art is quite similar on a few aspects, you'll see a bit more of those later on-just assume Mashima took art lessons from Oda or whatnot.

There are mangas like Monster Hunter Ogre, that looks more like Fairy Tail than One Piece.
This is just another style that floats around mangaka.

Like the style from romantic I''S that is now in shonen Zetman.

Just so you know, Mashima is the mangaka of Monster Hunter Orage, that's why they're similar
