I wonder what going to happen now that Lelouch and Charles and trapped in the Sword of *something* with Suzaku on his way and *marianne* and C.C are there too.

Nunaly may have been happy in her subjective world. But from L.L's point of the view, Nunaly may have have been continuously endangered by some individuals.

Eitherway L.L might aswell seen many ways to improve level of Nunaly's happiness, hence not consider it being happiness at all, or less likely.

But well, what is consider as happiness is rather complicated to describle.

L.L may have made his decision aflicted by false knowledge as well as by his own interpretation about Nunaly's happiness, but were yet to know what were all the roots of his motivation to start war etc.

I seriously doubt that if she was just another Charles' clone like some of you are implying based on ONE episode and a couple of lines; Lelouch would go through all this trouble (killing Clovis, Euphy, and waging war against Britannia) to avenge her and find out the truth about her murder...

At this point I will believe anything that happens in this show. She could be a cold bitch who's been pulling the strings on Lelouch since he was born, shaping him into what he is now for some unknown plot or heck maybe she's helping Charles behind the scenes to kill the Gods. The thing is though, we don't have enough info to classify her yet.

Either way nobody is free of sin in Geass, pretty much everyone except a few (Nunnaly, Euphy, Tianzi) have secrets, are selfish, arrogant, hypocrites, liars. If anything Charles is the only black and white guy, everyone else is shrouded in Gray.

he was only given the position of Emperor because he promises to try stop the coming apocalypse as payment. Yes, he is trying to save the world from annihilation, but that doesn't make him any less of a monster.

Good intentions doesn't make you a good person. You need both qualities in the same time to do good.

Its said that Marianne loved her children dearly. It could be that once she found out about what Charles was up to, she wanted to protect her Children.

I remember When Lelouch discovered C.C, she said something about him being the one. I'm thinking that mabey Marianne wanted Lelouch to gain geass, and entrusted him to C.C. Now that I think about it, The people that attacked her might have been assasins sent in by the geass cult, she probably knew what was to happen, so she planned ahead of time, and geassed Anya at that moment. And now, she's probably going in to help Lelouch. Mabey she knew that only Lelouch could defeat Charles. >_>

The novels are not canon thus things from may be helpful but at the same time,
They are not canon.
Marianya is hard to put down as there is not enough information.
We know she not totally good.
She been far from the ideal mother.
