Now that that's behind us, are there really no plans at all to commercialize the show? Not even as a mini CD of sorts?

Who knows? There WERE cameras at the show, but they may have been merely there to project the singers onto the screens at the back of the stage, not to record anything.

Nakamegu's Voices was pretty good, though it needed a little work in some areas (projecting more emotions, etc.). A thousand times better than her cover on Tenshi no Enogu.

you know what would be awesome Maaya Sakamoto, May'N, and Nakajima Maya, performing Triangular, or some other song together

And I'm not talking about that version that someone made, by mixing the voices together on Nico Nico.

I agree to that! I actually liked May'N and Megumi's version of Triangular more than the original But having all 3 of them singing it together would be incredible

I just listened to Diamond Crevasse (the one from Seatbelts) and it was godly. Made me so teary-eyed listening to it. TT_TT

EDIT: Listening to it again, I did shed a tear. ;___;

Yeah, it's pretty creepy, isn't it?

I'm still upset that I will never get MY choice for a Super Dimension Duet: Luca and nanase singing SANTI-U.

Damn the Frontier OST is fantastic.

Seikan Hikou is great, I love how Nanka throws out the "Neh" at the end of the chorus. So cute.

Iteza☆Gogo Kyuuji Don't Be Late has been stuck in my head all day too.

Sounds like SDF-1 has an even better soundtrack, I can't wait.

I wouldn't say better exactly...in fact, I wouldn't say it at all.

I love the original Macross music, but a lot of sounds very dated and '70s. Minmay's songs fit into the early '80s Japanese pop idol mode, which some people like and some people hate. A few of her songs are quite great, though (in Macross. If you're watching Robotech, all both of her songs are quite atrociously awful).

Somehow I'm not as excited to watch Robotech as I was anymore...

Ah well, I've got Macross Ultimate and Plus coming in the mail now.

Do try to get the ADV Macross DVD's. I enjoy their dub, as well - plus, it has some rather nice extras.

As for the music, there are some pearls in the original series, but I would go so far as to say that most of it doesn't come even close to what we got from Frontier. Plus is much better for it, tho.

Also, what's Macross Ultimate? I trust you don't mean the PSP game, or has it been released already?

Strangely enough, I prefer English dub bgm's over the Japanese in Macross Plus. They sound more fitting.

Well, that is one mighty fine dub, if I may say so. The english version of "Voices" is also yummy...

It's the title they gave the digitally remastered SDF-1 Macross series in Australia. It's Japanese audio only with subtitles. Unedited from the original so to speak.

I'm guessing it's something like a dvd box set, right? Also, the releases for the Remastered SDF-1 are still going. Hope they'll finish the entire series.
