After 7 episodes, I decided to drop (and delete the files) this show. While Madoka is an excellent character who can rival Marika and together with Lan whom they make a great partnership, Muginami just ruined the show for me. This is the first time I dropped a show because of a character. Muginami just annoys me as hell and I can't stand her. Her backstory didn't help at all. She just doesn't fit well in this show. The story seems decent and the action was pretty tight. The animation was well done as well, but single character just ruined it all for me. The first three episodes of the show were awesome until she came around and played a major role. I really wanted to like this show, but thanks to her I can't anymore.

That might be the right decision if that's the reaction you had to Muginami's arc. For me that arc basically took the show from "pretty but rather cliche" to a contender for my favorite show of the season.

Watched up to and finished episode 9.

Oh nos, "Wan" was a lie and that little blond leader was trolling her. The dynamic between the 3 girls is pretty impressive. Muginami started off as a fairly annoying attention whore but Madoka has shown her the right way and given her a place to really belong. I like how the show explained their backtstories and their evolving character relations.

But there are some disappointing parts. Episode 4 and 9 in particular are as slow as hell, and while the last one gives us a little more insight into Madoka, it came off as horrifically boring. And it looks a bit cheap-- filler in a 12 episode anime? A bit too much. :X

Well, I look forward to finishing the first half so I can get set up for the second. Madoka and Lan are a good combo, but there hasn't been enough focus on them as I'd like.
