Are the old bronzes really drawn by Umakoshi here? I think like I've seen these pics before, Shiryu's in particular.

That depends of the Cloth, at least I like prefer the Omega version of the Cloths of Aquila, Lionet, Wolf and Orion over their classic versions.

In fact I also prefer the Omega version of the Cloths of Pegasus and Dragon over the first version of the cloths of the original manga that were so lame that they were TOTALLY changed in the anime, in fact this two were the first ones in being changed in the manga, and even in ND Kurumada didn't even used the original Pegasus Cloth, he used the best one, the v5.

Really, I had the opposite impression, I thought the new cloths looked much better than the old ones in most cases.

Yes, they are, the fans just added the color since they were on black and white like the gold saints drawings.

Second season confirmed, heh. Omega must be more popular than I thought. Since it starts in April, we won't have to wait long. I wonder if the old bronzes will play a bigger role in this season. Their wounds should heal once Mars is taken down.

The cloths were definitely horrible at the beginning of the manga. It's only once they hit their third version that they started looking decent.

To each their own. I don't like how Omega's cloths look like they're made of plastic. Thankfully, the Gold cloths actually looked like proper armor.

The first Pegasus Cloth from the manga used to make me laugh a lot. Most notably when Seiya heaadbutted Shiryu's shield and Hyoga says "Thanks to the helmet, his head didn't break."

For the anime, if i remember, it's not the same producer.

I think it's kind of sad that such a thing as Omega gets a second season, mostly since it has been handled so poorly, especially the writing.

And GAWD YES, please kill of Haruto. He's like the minor Bronzies of the original series, but with an explained background.

And give Yuna a new cloth, plz?

Writing has never been Saint Seiya’s strong point. Almost every reasonable Saint Seiya fan knows that even the original series has bad writing (a lot of plot holes, inconsistencies, and lack in logic). At least Omega doesn’t have glaring mistakes that have to be retconned later on like the original series does. Omega's writing is definitely on-par (if not better) compared to the original SS. So, no, I don't think it's sad for Omega series to be popular.

LC is dead.

I just hope they stick with the current writers. Yoshida and Yokote have done a great job writing Yuna. She is probably one of the best Shonen Heroines. It'll be a pity if new writers just devolve her to a generic useless shonen heroine.
