The only kiss Lucy will probably give Kouta in the end is the Kiss of Death. That'll probably be after she gives violent mutant death to everyone and their dog in the Harem House of Horror. Who knows, at the rate she's going she may decide to leave this guy just one moving appendage and stick him in a box >_<

I am pretty certain at this time, there is only one English fansubbed episode 9 at the moment, which I am going to talk about.

I really enjoyed the joke they inserted at time 03:53, it really fitted this series as well as at that instant. It also showed how long and hard the memories of fansub groups are of other group's works!

anyways, Lucy is awesome, espeically in child form, just makes it that much creepier. And is anyone else really weirded out by the bandaged form? really scary stuff there...

Lucy is most likely a codename. In the earlier pages, the significance of the name "Lucy" is discussed.

I actually never noticed that her name was never actually mentioned in the flashbacks...

Also, the joke (by a certain group) was the input of a humourous line of scrolling text during the news broadcast on TV. It was not present in the RAW.

Lucy's jealousy is sure scary.....but strangely erotic.

I'm betting my money everyone dies later in the end, leaving Lucy and Kouta as the new Adam and Eve................ having kids with horns arent a bad idea afterall.

First off, the joke...

AJ aka Anime Junkies was a subgroup that was delivering 'speed subs'. Their quality was debatable. One of their major gaffes was translating a 'child abduction event' in Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex into 'mass naked child event'. Needless to say, this was pounced upon and served as a placard for those who disliked AJ's standard of work.

The fact that in this episode, we did see quite a couple of naked 10 year olds and the fact that the news presentation was of child murders. Combining them together, you get a newsworthy 'mass naked child events' in this episode. To further make a news ticker tape running proclaiming it as 'AJ news' brings back a nostalgic jokey feel of the days when people pounced on AJ with that GitS mistranslation.

Well at least, this will make this Elfen Lied fansub stand out from the rest of the others

Spoiler: One thing I don't get in this episode is that why Kouta lied to Lucy about who he's going to the festival with? If he really doesn't have any romantic feelings toward Lucy he wouldn't have to lie doesn't he? I think if he told her the truth she wouldn't be at the festival and ended up killing those people. well Kouta might get killed on the spot if he really did tell her the truth...
