i would never had expected the hole that caught Lenalee, very interesting but then I looked at the preview and it was really nothing, but nonetheless the Fight with the earl and Allen was awesome!

This series is going to destroy my nerves just as i was happy with Allen's comeback fighting on par with the earl and his tearful reunion with Lenalee and his awsome banter with Kanda they take Lenalee away damn our heros just cant catch a break can they?

Road makes an appearance after a long absence and shes still as obnoxious as ever, but it seems whatever project the earl had her working on is now completed, I have a bad feeling.

Must agree that D.Gray-man currently gives u that feeling of excitement... Except I have some questions though. Why does Earl seem so obsessed with capturing Lenalee for her innocence that automatically protects her? Allen's circumstance was much more drastic... I mean he lost his arm for crying out loud and had his innocence destroyed along with his death. All I can think of is that Earl is targeting the weaker individual first.

Initially I thought that Allen's return needed to be more dramatic. All they seemed to say is "Oh there's allen" lol but I'm guessing this is because much attention was given to him already and it was also a bit expected by them probably while they were spoiled by Tyki.

You are forgetting the importance of the "heart" innocence that Lenali may be in possession of. If the heart innocence is destroyed then all other innocence will be gone, so that means Allen will no longer be a threat etc.

Allen is also a special case, but for the Earl, the source of the innocence annoyance comes first.

Ahh, I just love the Earl's description of how alive and well Allen is when he was dragging the noahs inside the arc XD

Well, it's really just common sense, if what you think is the heart of all Innocence is right there, dangling in front of you, put yourself in the Earl's shoes, you'd want to end ALL opposition to you in one fell swoop.

But there is another point here, Lenalee IS weak, and she does not have the means to defend herself, as compared to Allen, it'd be much easier to kill off a downed opponent than one who actually stands a chance.

There ya go, two reasons for the Earl to go for Lenalee first, as much as it pains me to say it.

And to my knowledge, the Earl wasn't aware of Allen Walker's revival, or much less for that matter, his Innocence's "death" in the first place, IIRC, he left Tyki to do his job, and trusted that he'd finish it, which he evidently did not....much to his chagrin.

I thought he (the earl) was rather surprised that Allen was able to block his pew pews. But then again he wasn't at full strength in the first place as he know how to keep his cards hidden. But neither was Allen

But I think that the Earl left beause he knows that he is stronger than anyone else and he just wants to have fun before the next world flood. I mean, he could have crushed everyone there easily but chose to drag Tyki and Skin from the battlefield. This is the classic case of letting the good guys get away and for them to become stronger ^^.

Actually, the Earl must have some reason for fleeing, someone correct me here, but he DOES know Allen is the "destroyer of time" right?

So perhaps he knows he has no choice but to flee here and plot behind the scenes?

After all, it would be much easier for him to do so, and much more feasible, his resources at the time were rather limited.....

Look at this faces! Those were my reactions upon watching episode 75.

Allen's fight with the Earl could have used more lightning and explosion effects to have made it insane, however, listening to the clinking sounds produced when the Earl's Sword and Clown Crown exchanged blows continually became a fun of a crazy ride.

Allen the White Clown who chases after the Earl, the Auguste Clown, whose naughtiness has brought forward nothing but pain and tears to the audience.

The stage is already set, but Tiedoll vehemently warned the Cross Team not to act on it due that is too early for facing the main villian of this tragicomedy play.

The golden comedy didn't wait to manifest.

Allen and Kanda's bickering about whose at fault for making the Noah running away was a nostalgic welcome, particularly, if we fear for our dear lives how those were glaring incensedly back at Lavi for interfering in their fight.

The old, chubby Earl quite scolds Tykki for his incompetence at not killing Allen properly, which that incompetence at the long-term inevitably provoked that Allen interfered with the Earl's plan of destroying what could possibly be the Heart and its owner, Lenalee.
Naughty kids should always be pulled from their neckties and dragged all the way along.

Jas&Devi are as buffoonery as ever. Cross once again outsmarted them, leaving them at a false trial while in silence reflect at their utter stupidity.

The second half of the episode developed some teary-eyed drama and as well reintroducing back the various subplots of the different Exorcists.

Spoiler:

I'm quite intrigued what would become of Lavi. Bookman is stern and worrywart that Lavi brings about personal emotions that are conflicting with their obligation as Bookmen.
Bookmen need not to know about what's beyond the outside world other than history; human friendship is indeed dead for Bookmen.

My suspicions were confirmed that Tiedoll isn't on friendly terms with Cross in the same shade of light that Allen fears and despises his master.
Judging at how Tiedoll speaks ill about Cross from personal experiences, then looks like Cross is no better than the Earl on regards about manipulating people. Specifically, fools that are easily tricked and can use them as bait to lure out his enemies.

Too bad that Lenalee thinks good about Cross after listening to Allen's tale on episode 27. Good lord! That never happens in the manga.

Spoiler for Lenalee x Allen moments:

The highlight of the episode to me was when Lenalee welcomed Allen back.

Allen truly missed his friends, and what he only desires is to go back to the place he can feel to be at home.

I melted when those two kept watching at each other with tears on their eyes.

Lenalee, on the other hand, wished to see again the face of that friend of hers, who forms part of her world as well. It was hard and painful when they got separated, then believing in doubt and uncertainty that Allen was killed which the anxiety of that knowledge was consuming her inside.
But her hope paid off, and Lenalee at last gets reunited with Allen.....

Or so we thought?

Curse you, Earl! You had to break off the most romantic and tender reunion between those two teens, which has been the best for the season by far.

The Auguste Clown is with his old tricks again, and now he has abducted Dorothy.

What will the White Clown do!!?

Cross is QUITE the playa, he has a rather....eclectic style of accomplishing his mission objectives.

Tiedoll, on the other hand, is the upright, righteous, compassionate, and do-it-the-RIGHT-way sort of General.

They'd not see eye to eye, definitely.

Regarding the reason why Earl left the battlefield, just look what he did with Lero. To me he came up with the plan to retreat, then send Lero to kidnap Lenalee at any given time, while the fight with Allen was going on.

With this theme brought up again, I am a little concerned about Lavi myself. It could be a foreshadowing of events to come, and could lead to a possible major character death.

D. Grayman has not pulled any punches yet on emotional character deaths, and what better way to get our bloods and hearts pumping with one of our long standing and beloved character dying? I certainly hope not, but I would never rule it out.

Lenalee is such a wonderful character. I haven't felt this attached to an anime character in a long time. She is not perfect, but great as whole. That just makes her that more attractive.

Strange, though, the first time I saw Road, she brought about a strange attraction as well. Something about the way she views the world and acts straightforwardly seems refreshing and exciting. I don't know. I don't like her gray version as much, though.

Which brings me to another point. I know some time back in the thread, the title D. Grayman is mentioned as Allen between dark and light. However, the Noahs are all portrayed as gray skinned in their true form. I wonder if this could mean the title could refer to the Noah's themselves, or possibly

Other reasons to like D.Gray-man is that unlike current shounen shows like for example, Naruto Shippuden, D.Gray-man neither indulges with excessive long shots on the characters just standing there or staring without doing anything on climatic, key scenes nor abuses the use of flashbacks.

For example, for this episode the flashbacks were put in practical use and minimal when Cross Team was questioned again if they have the resolve to walk onward or withdraw, as Lavi and Lenalee remember Anita and the others dying for their sake of moving forward and Krory reminiscing about Chomesuke's being a departed friend when he was contemplating the contents of the box.

about Allen. He does seem very special in terms of how he is like a bug that can't be crushed towards the Earl and his happy family. Though I don't think that he can be a Noah because he has the power of the innocence. Noah powers is different and I assume that it would conflict with the nature of innocence, because they are known to have a mind of their own and the potential to go berserk

I like Road as well, but not as much in her gray form ~ though for tyki, he is awesome being evil
