First half was amazing and funny. It's interesting to how everyone's personality has changed except for Chinatsu's. And it's ironic that Kyoko's crushing on her former bully and Chinatsu's crushing on Yui who she fought with.
I actually cracked up when Kyoko said:" Yui, you idiot! Chinatsu, I love you! And, A-ka-riiiin~!" and when Akarin said that she won't even be noticed for her lack of presence anymore Second half was sort of...exaggerated? I mean, the anime turned the funny accident into a melodrama with tears, tragic music and flashbacks everywhere. (liked the manga original better) But that's just the cynic in me speaking. I just didn't get this sad feeling the second part was trying to convey. On a sidenote, the "new" Kyoko gives off the air of a responsible but uptight Onee-san I srsly dunno how crybaby Kyoko could turn into hyper!Kyoko and/or Onee-san!Kyoko... This episode should've been called "Everybody Loves Kyoko". Even Chinatsu and Chizuru turned dere for her (or how should I interpret Chizuru's tears?). There go my only two characters that clearly disliked Kyoko Btw, this episode...felt like the finale.

Maybe the kick to the chest traumatized her. That would perhaps explain her propensity for terrifying art as well?

Yuru Yuri 11 - I'd Rather Live a Lifetime in the Company of Fools
There's a goldmine of stories to be found in the childhoods of the Amusement Club. Get on it, fanfic writers! (This segment lends further credence to the idea that Akari's lack of presence is a double edged sword. She's aware of the inner workings of this world to a far greater extent than anyone else, but no one will ever find out.) As for Kyoko's unfortunate accident, sure, she may be a good citizen, but the world needs troublemakers, people who break the rules and go where the wind takes them. And Akari's boomerang of malice comes back to strike her in the head. She realizes she can still transform into a hero, a star of the show, and suffers at the hands of the entire cast. The two halves play off each other pretty nicely, I'll admit. For someone with nothing interesting, Akari may be the most interesting of the cast. (Though I'm still a Kyoko fan club guy through and through) |

This episode got me to furthered my shipping of Kyouko and Yui much more given their childhood flashbacks, god Yui, Kyouko, and Akari were really cute in it ; plus how Yui was the one who couldn't stand Kyouko's change the most from start to finish, and wouldn't allow it given she broken into tears of her old Kyouko being gone.

Ah it was soo hard to resist not posting a spoiler about this when I got the feeling that this was being animated from the preview . And I was right, since I'd say punk-ish younger Yui was definitely energetic, while Kyouko showed her not-so-energetic younger personality, and her more thoughtful self after being the stairs .
