Wow Moshidora novel. It's really good. You must read it when you have spare time . Speaking of other novel, you remind me that I also have a lot to catch up(4 volume of kami-memo, 6 volume of rakuin no monsho, and several other titles, not to mention the upcoming latest volume of boku tomo T_T).

Back to the topic though, I don't think Tabane plans to take over the world. She could have done it in the first place by using unmanned IS technology without letting the world knows if she wants to. I still have no idea why she wants Chifuyu's IS core. Probably she wants it for the same reason as a stalker who steals objects from his target to sniff on :P.

I think that it'll probably be a 4-4-4-1. 4 eps for V5, 4 eps for V6, 4 eps for V7 and a filler or a short story.

Yep, V4. There are 3-5 short stories in there, and they'll maybe turn everything but one into OVAs and the last one for the S2.

if tabane was behind the IS attack waaaayyy back in season 1

wasn't she putting houki in a whole lot of danger?

not only that, ichika actually DIED, she didn't even know the IS had the power to bring him back, so ichika could've just died there!?

i dunno, this is just a bit too murky

unless she regards their abilities WAAAYYYY too highly

Actually, Tabane looks like an antagonist to me.

- I'm just going by the recent LN epilogue that was summarized indicating Tabane had built that Golem, if that's what you're referring to.

If it's about Silverio Gospel, I'm getting mixed messages. Anime says Tabane did it, LN not so clear about it (last I checked).

At face value though, could it also possibly tie in to Ichika's origins? I.E. that she and Chifuyu know something about Ichika's past that they're not sharing with anyone?

Because maybe an IS wouldn't have the power to bring back a NORMAL person to life, but...ah well, that's more rabid speculation on my part.

Ichika died? When? He wasn't dying in vol 3, the IS absolute defense saves him, which Tabane should already know about. The thing that's out of Tabane's expectation was just Byaku-shiki's regenerating power that makes Ichika able to return to battle right away .

She doesn't care about any other humans beside Chifuyu, Houki, Ichika, and maybe Ku-chan. The others can die for all she cares.

His life wasn't in any danger, but due to how the absolute defense barrier works, he should be out cold until his wound healed, which will take a while. Unexpectedly, Byaku-shiki have regeneration power and Ichika's wound is healed in an instant.

if i recall correctly, the absolute defense protected him from getting blown to shit

but his condition was still critical, at some point while he was about to die, he had the inception thing with tachibana kanade and his sister's former IS, and he basically got healed and went super saiyan 2

at least that's how i saw it

Nope. I've checked at vol 3 again and I'm pretty sure now. He's not in any life threatening situation because of the absolute defense. The absolute defense make him into a deep sleep situation though as an effect of the protection until Byaku-shiki's energy is recovered. It's during this deep sleep that he saw Byaku-shiki's inner form.
