I thought of something strange. Because this manga is very realistic with its martial arts and physics (super masters aside), has anyone ever tried the training Kenichi goes through? (Assuming one has incredible spirit, willpower, courage, and other internal strengths).

Early on, some of it was grounded in realistic techniques, mostly concerning Kenichi's early training and fights, but it has been quite some time since then.
Ever since Yami has taken the spot-light as the Antagonists, most of the Martial Arts in this manga has taken a superhuman approach.

But that's nearly 50% of the plot of any martial arts story ever told. And many times, the most dangerous opponents are the ones most similar to yourself. Just ask Ryu and Ken. Or hell, ask just about anyone.

Tempest is right... in any anime/manga where fighting is involved, the protagonist's greatest enemy... is him/herself
or at least, they have to overcome themselves in order to move on to fighting the Bid Bad. But that's a different story
