LMS vol 21 chapter 5 Glass note Weed's hunters are now very wary of the female sword user who is with weed. The search is suspended, waiting for back up and then it resumes. Seoyun makes a killing (hohoho the pun). However the non-stop assaults start to wear her out. When she was near to her limits weed got out of the mine, though he took some time to reach her (I'm delayed. Because of the luggage, i'll be there in an hour...Then 5 hours passed...Almost there...Then 2 hours passed...). She is happy to see him again and give a brights smile (with the bright red murder mark, which makes weed's heart to sink). And they start to move (with the big cart full of objects). The wizards and clerics, with the search team get to the mine, but they don't know if he's still inside. They decide to get in and arrive at the part where there is the wagon. 4 of them get in... That wagon was a booby trap by weed, he got a message saying it killed 3 people and seriously injured one, infamy raised by 29. They're slowly getting away (Seoyoon is in poor condition due to the poisonous attacks of the assassins). Seoyoon and the sculpture(Yellowy/Rover) are worried because they are being chased and they're still pulling a heavy cart. Weed goes to do some scouting. He makes a crow sculpture, use shape shifting and leave with one of the birds. Weed observes the enemy fleet. He thinks of using his sister's ability but rejects it as too dangerous for her. He needs a ship. Weed turns off the shape-shifting and puts some messages in the bottles and leave them to the sea (the message calls for help from undead). Then weed goes to the wreckage of the ghost ship and uses nature sculpting on water. He makes the sculpture of the lich pirate deoreol. Artistic value 179, strenghten undead activities, +5% speed and 2% leadership at sea. Weed then uses cloud sculpture, due to the low skill level the properties of the cloud can't be determined. Somewhere in the sea, an undead recovers a bottle with a message from the sea. The ghost ship Flying Dutchman and it's captain decide to answer the call. They're not the only ones to heed the call. The success was mostly due to the time weed spent as an undead. Apparently they use vortex to fast travel (I think it's like in Heroes from Might and Magic) but their destination is kinda random... Pale and co are in the ancient capital for their quest. It's tough, but they succeed. The remaining members will settle in northern cities and increase speed of technology development. They will craft some item for them as reward. While they go sightseeing they talk about weed and the hermes guild. They're wondering if they should help. Hwaryeong whispers Yurin to get news of weed, basically, she says it's not good and there is a talk about some habits from home (and something like a misunderstanding and memories from the hard past... Too hard to understand). They decide to go help him. They talk about the means to get to him and settle on a boat. They use Yurin to gather all the members.
Hwaryeong's friend is quite anxious though. The captain of the ship isn't quite interested in going to Las Phalanx. A ghost ship is coming, the captain is panicking but the ghost ship just pass by, brushing their ship. The flag of the ghost ship caught Maylon's eye. It looks like it's the flag of the immortal legion they saw on the war with Lich Shire and they decide to follow it. LMS volume 21 chapter 6 Granted the miracle of life Back to Las Phalanx with Weed. His art skill is reduced due to infamy. He is reflecting on how to use his abilities (especially sculpting) to their best to get out of that tough situation. He is also a bit concerned about his reputation. The living sculptures are chatting while looking at weed working (of course they are talking about him
). He was making a sculpture of a smiling girl - : artistic value 6, +2 attractiveness, then the description changed: : sculpture of a girl with a gloomy smile,created by the hands of a corrupt engraver, satanic value 15, option manhunt, most wanted, +2 to stats for the wicked, luck -10.: Weed works until the infamous red mark on his head disappears. Even though the red mark is gone, he still has quite a bit of notoriety left. To get out of Las Phalanx he needs to get out of the killer state. Seoyoon and the others look like refugees because of the time spent hiding in the tunnels. Weed is now uses his tailoring skills. He says he's going to make a pirate costume. He still lower his infamy with sculptures from time to time. He turns into a crow again and go scouting. He scouts far enough to see the approaching ghost ships. They will bring trouble to the chasing fleets at the unfreezing river. The D-day was coming and they have one day to escape. Weed, as a crow, goes to the engraver tower. He recalls the difficulties of his situation there and intends to use the sculptures in the tower. The Hermes guild was not too far from the tower so they can get the bonuses from the sculptures inside (of course with the effects not overlapping). Weed reflects on the current mobilization of the Hermes troops (and the Hermes guild's power in general). It looks like there were only 2 pirates standing guard... and it looks like the 2 birds took care of them?? Or did they just distract them?? Probably the later.
Either way, weed sneaks into the tower and cancels shape-shifting. He intends to give life to some sculptures. After observing a few sculptures, he selects one and use the skill. There the GT becomes really hard to understand due to my low level in GT interpretation - apparently he granted life to a marine sculpture that carries a wide variety of monster sculptures inside it (probably like a whale). Looks like the sculptures were waiting for a hero to give them a ride or something. With a great noise the tower starts to sway, and then a video was shown. :Start of Video: The boat of the engravers arrived at Las Phalanx. They find helium and they sculpt, but they did not want to leave the sculptures like that, hence a place to keep the sculptures was created. A place that can resist any threats yet an artistic place. At the end of their work, the result had - : 17695 artistic value. Two-fold increase in maximum life, raise of familiarity with carved monsters, less affected by temperatures and climate, 55% increase in fire resistance, increase resistance of/to fire monster, +39 art stat, carving skill increase by 8% during the day. : The guys died while exploring Las Phalanx. A magic protection was placed on it to preserve the sculptures inside. :End of the Video: You have given life to sculpture : level 608, art property 100%, guardian property 100%, life property 100%, bonus to art related things (did not completely understand), overwhelming vitality, strong defense. : The sculptures inside the tower started to move and go to weed, saying thanks and asking names. The loyalty of the sculptures was not that high, but weed found a way to brush the naming aside as he was already thinking of the big battle to come. At the pirate fleet, the pirates on guard duty were chatting (about weed and the state of the hunt of course
). Suddenly the others pirates straighten themselves as the pirate king Griffith is there.
The pirates are surprised to see him here, he says he want to go on a little ride. One of the pirates want to go too but Griffith refuses by giving excuses. He then sends a whisper :now you can come out: Eumeooeoeo. Rover was racing toward the sail boat, soon followed by Seoyoon, the birds and the other sculptures. Yep, weed shape-shifted into Griffith, the clothes just looked like like those of Griffith (definitely not as awesome as Griffith's clothes) and with the red mark gone the pirates could not recognise weed. The sailboat was starting to leave and weed was waving bye bye. It looks like the tower started to cry. The ship was a bit overloaded with living sculptures, so it moved very slowly at first. Haven kingdom's users reported the move of the pirate ship. On hearing the reports, they realize that they have been had. The order was given to chase after them. Some living sculptures hinder them, especially the tower. LMS volume 21 chapter 7 Death aura DEATH AURA Weed got a rotten smile on his face. Weed gave instructions to his underlings, ome living sculptures are working on the ice. Weed complain a little about the lack of gain. He then shapshift into an undead again, 25% increase in necromancer skill etc, warning about the possible loss of humanity (looks like he lost 19% of humanity or something like that, i didn't understand). On the way he pass by the 3 idiots that were abandoned and as they ask for a lift, weed says the fare is expensive, they say they have 2759 gold, but weed want 7000. They try to negociate, but the neverending greed of weed, they had no choice but to agree (and of course they'll put their skills to use, and pay for the food). They are surprised to see all the monsters with weed. Poor guys. The enemy was at disavantage on land, but now that weed is on the sea, they have the advantage, the difference between combat capabilities on sea is obvious and intend to use it to its fullest. They are slowly closing to artillery range, and started the bombardement on the slow, overloaded fleeing ship, 7 ships exposed their sides and opened fire (238 shells, no less), the impacts got closer and closer of weed's stolen ship, weed tell the 3 idiots to speed up, Rover was scared and hidding in the cabin, Seoyoon was with him. The enemy fleet was closing in and weed shouted -it's time to burn it all. The fire giant attacked. While weed was on the ghost ship, Bingryong, Phoenix and the wyverns were hunting and raising their levels. They started talking about weed and his food, especially the wyverns, they were missing him. They decided to go on a flying trip to where weed is using smell (such nice guys), Bingryong was the guide, followed by the others. While bingryong got a bonus due to the cold, phoenix weakened. On the way, they met the fire giant (it looks like they immediately recognised him as a living sculpture) and chatted a bit (about the living sculpture family). The fire giant went ahead a weed and was hiding, waiting for his signal (and also, it looks like phoenix proposed the fire giant a ride if necessary). The fire giant attacked, surprising the enemy, phoenix flying at high speed looked like a comet (if i'm not wrong he got a fire giant on his back). On the back of the fleet, griffith and the pirates (they were pushed on the back because of Haven influence and power) saw the fire giant and phoenix, griffith ordered to shoot the canon, phoenix folded its wings and barely avoided some of the shells, the others didn't give him too much damage. Seeing phoenix was still alive griffith ordered to reload with magic bullets, but phoenix just passed by them, so he decided not to waste the expensive bullets. Haven's fleet
was showered with very hot phoenix feathers, the priests used protective magic, beside, they were prepared to face multiple monsters, so their reaction was quick, paladin used their magic too, a large mana shield, and the wizards were preparing to counter attack. But, too bad, on each side of the unfreezing river, the 10 000 years old ice started to break with a terrible sound, and started to fall. Big pieces of ice were falling toward the fleet (sinking one or more ships), the fleet commander gave orders to avoid the disaster (good thing for them that the priest and paladins erected protections before), he ordered to raise the speed, but they took too much damage. But he still decided to chase after weed (how can he ignore this humiliation). LMS volume 21 chapter 8 Bard Ray recovered the sword from the monster's body as it turned grey. He just reached level 465, his true strenght is different than what is said to the public. He says it's time to show the power of his organisation. The hermes guild and its allied guilds have completed preparations for war. In the tumultuous center continent, the war will start and the might of hermes guild will be shown. The RR users are watching real-time reports of the fight between weed and the haven fleet, they are impressed. There are broadcasts from pirates and of course KMC for weed (a very busy time for the stations). The broadcasts are available in pubs and restaurants, when it's about weed, they are crowded and noisy like the day of a soccer match (if I understood right). It started to rain, and the users talk about the effect of the rain on the sea and the chase. However, at KMC, there are breaking news, they anounce that in the center of the continent several battles started. The users in the pubs didn't really care, they were only interested in weed, however the battles involved all the kingdom of the central continents (either 200 battles or 200 countries, I'm not sure, but 200 countries is too much so it must be 200 attles, then 200 battles involving all the dominants kingdoms). The users are shocked, the central continent is in a state of chaos. Back to Las Palanx. The haven fleet is throwing everything heavy to gain speed (canons and extra materials). The heavy rain clouds are growing, rain around phoenix and the fire giant create a lot of steam and weakens phoenix so he decide to fly higher. Weed didn't anticipate such a change in the meteo (volcanic island with lots of heat in the cold north), Weed consult the 3 idiots about the situation but it's not too good. The moment they enter the sea (until now they were in the unfreezing river) the view increase and what they saw first was a ghost ship. Tiring! encountered a ghost ship, vessels are more likely to have an epidemy, morale of the crew falls to the lowest levels, risk of revolt. Weed used the skill to summon undead, and the ship he was on aged at an incredible rate. Weed used the skill yell to prepare for battle. Pale and the others were still following the ghost ship, chatting a bit. The 3 idiots are not happy at all at the change of situation. Th haven fleet prepare for battle, they increase speed and prepare to fire, but when they get a clear view of the ship, they're surprised it turned into a ghost ship, and it looks like thy noticed the ghost ship ahead of weed's ship (I'm not sure). Weed order to fire, the enemy have little place for evasive movements. The haven fleet is also attaked by sea monsters. The haven fleet leader communicate with his supperior in hermes guild to explain the situation, saying they will most likely sink and request a rescue. And the (one sided) battle continue... Volume 21 chapter 9 High seas The way the ghost are fighting look ridiculous (it looks like they use their bodies as weapons and amnutions, they lack discipline).The haven fleet's people are damaged by epidemic magic, but they
managed to put one of the ghost ship on fire, and with the rain weakening the fire is harder to fight. The haven fleet then went forward. Weed then proceed to do a little bit of brainwashing on the living sculptures (since he didn't carve them, they have little loyalty, weed talk about money, about the broad and beautiful versaille continent, parent and children, nice places, good food...) result: "Oh, I've met a great master."Now they are willing to fight, Weed is making plenty of plans in his head about the battle and the future keukeukeu... Weed take command for the battle, and cause several ship to crash into each others, and a ship, whose whole crew died, got turned into a new (no, more like old) ghost ship. The haven fleet is now in a very poor situation, the fighting will soon become CQC. Weed summon Van Hawk and Tori, who are strenghtened by weed's death aura, and the 3 of them go engage the enemy, and order his (own) living sculptures to fight too (and the new ones joined in the fun). The admiral of the haven fleet was very irritated, each lost ship turned into an enemy ship, and the fight was coming closer and closer to him. Weed was already feasting on the items with his eyes. And the fighting again, with weed as the maestro, the pirates who were at the back are charging forward, and Pale and co arrive at the scene. Heavy rain started pouring again. Hwaryeong was making herself pretty in the cabin. Make up: +21 attraction, +15 charisma, +29 luck, +31% dance skill effectiveness. It's been a while since she last saw weed so she want to do a memorable dance. The rain weakens Romuna's magic, Pale shot arrows on the enemy sails to reduce their mobility, Maylon is also fighting, Belote started her performance, followwed by Hwaeryong (pretty girl dancing under the rain, just imagine it ( >o<)) .Dancer is dancing: cannot take the eyes from the dancing, confusion, strenght will decrease. The enemy is under the charm! volume 21 chapter 10 friend Chapter 10 "Friend" The pirates are mesmerized by the beautiful Hwaeryong, chatting among themselves, they also suffer from a kraken (weeds??)attack. Weed is already selling the pirates items with his eyes, while some pirates try to sneak on him from behind, but they met Seoyoon on the way. Weed has a little talk with one of the undead, gave him a drink (WTF??). Suddenly, the ghost ship(s) with the immortal legion flag opened fire. The leader of haven fleet is feling really bad now. The guys from the chasing fleet are surprised, and now they think the situation is very unfair (like tracking 1 guy with a fleet to interfere with his S quest is fair). They start to realise they won't be able to catch weed and that they'll probably lose. Weed is thinking about how to use the situation to its best. His ship is slowly closing to those of the immortal legion. When they met a reptilian humanoid undead went forward. Apparently a promising admiral who liked adventures, that got cursed, his skin turning into that of a frog, he became uglier, larger and evil, was defeated by some other navy, and was revived by Bar-Khan. State of fear, physical ability decrease, morale fall to the lowest levels, leadership is impossible. Most people froze in place. Weedis evaluating the undead, it got high quality items and his level seem close to the 600. Weed greeted him in a cool, haughty tone. The undead says he is here to get personnel under orders of Bar Kahn and that weed didn't answer his call, which displeased Bar Kahn. Weed asks the undead if he will attack him (his transformation looks like Shire and he even got some of his items, and he wants to use that to his advantage... and it looks like it worked). The undead said Bar Kahn summoned him (weed), and says that he has important business for him (weed) to take care of, and that he has 120 days to
come. Ttiring. Bar Kahn Call. The lord of undead has called you. All the people should follow the will of the undead. Difficulty C. Compensation: meet Bar Kahn for a linked quest. Licht Shire quest occured. Background: (small description of Shire). Can not refuse the quest. It looks like the undead offered him a ride, and weed accepted. Weed is complaining in his mind, the others are in awe and admiring in their minds. Weed and his copmpanions (including living sculptures) are divided on 3 ships, on their way toward the civilisation. Of course Weed and Zephir are in charge of the food, there is a bit of chatting (of course seoyoon isn't chatting, it looks like she was even slightly trembling??). Looks like they are playing (more like gambling??), Seoyoon is a bit interested but sh is shy, it's a new experience for her... and it looks like weed lost something expensive to Seoyoon... KMC had once again high ratings thanks to Las Palanx battle, they are impressed by weed, but also worried by the actions of (powerfull) guilds in general (be it in CoM or in RR) and the reactions of the users. Weed is doing is usual accountant job for the family expenses, and making plans for winter break, what he will do in RR. Someone came to his house, turn out to e that he is summoned by Seoyoon's parents, he goes with them. He is taken to a luxurious villa, he asks if it's Seoyoon's home but is told that she doesn't live there, its her father's house. He meet him, after the lttle courtesies they talk about weed on RR, about Seoyoon, then the father ask him what he thinks about Seoyoon. Hyun think for a bit, and say friend. The father is septickal, he says Seoyoon got wounded when she was little, he propose some money to hyun to keep his distances, but hyun refuse, says it's Seoyoon's will, the father asks if he refused because of pride, hyun says no, he remember all his past hardships, he says he is responsible for earning the money he needs. The father gives up on trying to pull them appart, but ask him not to hurt Seoyoon, hyun says he'll try, and leave the place. The father is overall satisfied with this encounter. Hermes guild HQ, the higher ups welcome back Dyne...
