The story about the boy-dragon was interesting.
Looks like the man-made dragon fruit is not something you would want to eat.
Not much was going on action-wise...
They only showed a few seconds of the fight I was really wanted to see.

Yeah, I was really confused as to why Zoro did not attack Monet. He might truly have issues fighting with women, but I can't remember him be merciful towards women at any point. However, I can only remember Luffy as the only guy in Straw Hats hitting women, while it is usually Nami and Robin taking care of other female opponents.

Also, Sanji will be no help in this. He might end up defending Monet.

Again with the kids and candy.
Luffy and the dragon kid were thrown in as well.
Zoro's fight was nice to watch.
The only thing that bothered me the most was it kept getting interrupted to show what other characters were doing.
This seems to be happening more and more often and it's starting to annoy me.
Wish they'd show us more of Smoker vs Vergo...

It's probably because the first available versions are LQ crunchyroll rips and the pace of the anime has been rather slow lately. Instead of "rushing through the main story and adding filler", like the Naruto anime does, One Piece takes the "stretch the main story as much as possible and only add very few fillers"-approach. It is also possible that the One Piece anime is not as popular as the manga in the western audiences, so that may be another reason.

Check the manga chapter topics, they are always full of nice and long discussions. It's really not the series fault but more the anime quality's fault, if they didn't stretch it to such ridiculous lengths a lot more people would stick around (I know I would).

It's actually a shame that the anime hasn't done any filler arcs in between arcs aside from the odd couple of episodes due to the movie, because One Piece filler arcs are usually pretty good. I've always been against filler arcs in anime, but One Piece is one of the few anime that have filler I like almost as much as some of the canon arcs.

I do kind of wish One Piece would either do a big filler arc to space things out or go the Fairy Tail approach of actually just taking a long break. Stretching the material too much can just be painful to watch.

I totally agree. Specially those oyabun episodes. Or we could be in for a real treat and witness the return of Foxy pirates. There has been assurance from the anime team that there will be a filler arc after Punk Hazard.

But to be honest, the (snail) pace at which the anime is progressing and (Ferrari) pace at which the manga is rushing, There really does not seem the need for a long filler arc.

That story should be enough to really get him fired up. I do wonder if Momonosuke can actually return to normal. Since it's an artificial devil's fruit who knows how effective it actually is. Going to be quite the awkward reunion considering his father's feelings towards dragons. Didn't think Zoro would have to be the one to take on Monet. Though at least they gave her weapons so it makes sense as a matchup. Plus with Sanji taking care of the marines and Luffy getting out of the garbage shoot he's the only Haki user the crew has to take her on. __________________ Anime-Evo

It's not like Monet should really be a threat if he's taking her seriously. I mean sure he's never been thrilled to deal with Tashigi because of the visible similarity to his childhood friend, but does that mean he's got a problem with swordswomen in general? Suppose we actually haven't seen that many female opponents in general (aside from Luffy and the island of women). Watching Zoro terrify Monet so badly that she actually couldn't put her body back to normal was pretty cool. That's definitely a unique way of winning a fight. I pretty much figured immediately when they showed something as extreme as him cutting Monet in half that he couldn't have used haki. That would have been a bit too messy . While Zoro can get injured so badly that there is blood everywhere that kind of injury would definitely kill his opponent. Regardless of the fact that he struggles when dealing with female opponents he can still fight well enough to win. Even in that kind of situation Zoro can still be pretty damn awesome . I guess in the end the loss of his childhood friend just created a wall that makes it tough to deal with that kind of opponent. Though different from Sanji who would let himself get killed. __________________ Anime-Evo

The situation being so desperate that it was better to eat all that poison than let it get to the others. Even with One Piece that's the kind of situation that's going to be easy to have Mocha walk away from alive. Chopper is going to have to really pull a medical miracle there. It does line up well with Luffy finally getting back to ground level. He knows what's up and now we're really starting to fell things ramping up. Forget the alliance there is now one hell of a reason for Luffy to track down Caesar and beat the crap out of him. Can always use some of those cuffs to shut him down after he's half-dead. __________________ Anime-Evo
