I feel bad for Nagisa for being used. I wonder if Nagisa was any help to his brother. Asagi probably wasn't surprise that Kojou was a Progenitor.

EDIT: What has happened to Nagisa so far? After reading more carefully I realized that my previous assumption was incorrect.

Here's what I get from my half volume LSD trip.

Spoiler:

Nagisa was possessed by "root" and she was the real 4th progenitor. The 4th was an artificial vampire created by 3 of the shinso and tenbu, an ancient super civilization of lesser god species or something, as the strongest weapon. She was too strong so they seal her and split her power (12 pairs of ribs) into 12 kenjuu and gave them human body, living in human world and act as root's observer. Avrora was 12th kenjuu/observer. Nagisa awakened as the 4th and started devouring other Kaleid Blood (the kenjuu and the project's name I guess). Then there's mass vampire turning incident or something, root was absorbing people's memory because Personal History is the source of magic power and as artificial vampire she has none. Because of that memory stealing power Akatsuki's parents stayed away from them to find a way to save Nagisa without forgeting her. Then Kojou and Avrora confonted root Nagisa, one of the kenjuu betrayed root because of an ice cream, I mean who doesn't like ice cream? I think I saw that gay vampire from ep 6, then other kenjuu started showing up to help Kojou because they wanted to save Nagisa, she was friend with them? Avrora took root into her body from Nagisa, gave Kojou the 4th's power, then force him to kill her. Before she (Avrora) dies Nagisa used her power to take Avrora in her. Then Kojou woke up from the dream and so was I.

Are they the project's accomplice?

And What's Nagisa born to be in the first place?
Just the girl who was used as the tool in the 4th progenitor project?
I see in the Vol.8 color pages that she is a miko of shinso or something like that.

No. REAL Nagisa still ALIVEs.
Just some conscious of Avrora is in Nagisa's body.

Oh, I see.... So "She" in the spoilers is unclear.
The last "She" in the spoilers refers to Avrora, Not Nagisa.

I don't think they know about what happened to their son from that flashback incident.

Their mom is pretty much working in her office and I'm not sure about the father.

But it would be shocking for them that their son inherited the powers of a Progenitor from the product of the 3 Progenitors and the one helping them make it.

No wonder that one of them, Chaos Bride, wanted to test out Kojou as a fellow Progenitor.

1. How did the Fourth end up as Kojou's sister? From previous spoilers, they are clearly blood related so how did she end up awakening as the Fourth?
2. When the 12 kenjuu were split and turned into humans, were they in control of their human bodies and were they ageless or something?
