Anyone familiar with Namco's Phelios?

It came out in 1989 in arcades, and about a year and a half later, Namco ported it to the Mega Drive/Sega Genesis. It's one of the few Namco arcade shooters that doesn't take place in outer space (well, for most of this game, anyway).

The arcade version is now available for download on the Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation store.

Here's my take on it. But what are your thoughts on Phelios?

This was a game I played a lot as a kid. I never beat it, I didn't have the reflexes for a shmup when I was young, but I definitely have fond memories of it. In my mind it was way more epic, rewatching you play it it definitely doesn't hold up to my memories but it definitely still makes me feel good
