When you've seen more of them, this, my sir, is perfectly normal, though you might not want to see any one of them on your street.

So yea...

Still no official announcement on their website.

And all we got is a title preview at the end of episode 13:

Spoiler for title preview:

Well...? Silverlink sure likes to keep people in the dark don't they? (Not in a good way either...)

I'm still expecting online streaming, but...

Edit:

Okay so we got this:

アニメ「ココロコネクト ミチランダム编」の第十四话〜第十七话は上映イベントを予定しております。详细は近日中に告知させていただ きますので続报をお待ちください。皆様の引き続きの応援を宜しくお愿いいたします!!
Episode 14-17 airing event, will announce more details in a few days. Something like that. We can wait and see I guess.

And so the TV airing ends.

As a person who was very optimistic about Kokoro connect before it started airing, I feel pretty disappointed. Uninteresting characters (especially Taichi), the subtlety of a frying pan to the face, and drama that ranged from dull to infuriating. It's been a rough ride, and I doubt that the BD episodes are going to fix any of the things I hate about this series, but at least it'll be way more managable without having to suffer through it weekly.
Looking forward to it!

I class this show as an interesting failure -- I like that they were trying to do a story about people with deep psychological issues, but the author's just too nice to deal with the consequences. Instead, he lets the characters get over their problems with a few words from Dr. Phil. Iori's problems with her mother have been hinted at throughout the series, but this episode they're all resolved with two sentences -- abusive ex-husband pounding on the door doesn't matter. Aoki's "issue" with his ex last episode -- resolved in two sentences as well. Inaba's issue in the first arc -- that was so complex it required a sentence from Yui, Iori and Aoki.

I feel this could've been a great story if it'd been written by someone else.

Started watching 13. First minute into it.

Taichi, are you stupid!
Wtf, #2 specifically said not to talk, and then you talk.
Would it be too hard to go, "sorry, I explain later, but I can't tell you right now"

idiot.

Well, I just read why the last three episodes are on the BD instead of TV. Assholes until the end.

hm. Okay conclusion to the whole arc. Being 3 episodes, it went about as best as it could.

lol @ Iori's solution to the whole family problem. She never talked with her mom at all during the 10 years? Iori's mom is pretty hot. Expected her to take out a knife and stab the husband though, I sense a little yandere in her.

For the episode itself: too much telling, not enough showing.

For the series as a whole: Not a fan of when shows try to be intelligent whilst playing it safe. And this show played it way too safe. That's all I'm saying.

Taichi broke the rules.
That was not a good idea...
Now there's no way they could hide their transformations.
Iori's problems gets revealed this time.
It's lucky Heartseed ended his little experiment.
Heartseed's offer to Iori was tempting.
I was glad everything worked out.

They're not being assholes... you buy TV airtime one-cour at a time, and the max time available is 13 episodes. But they got the budget to produce four arcs, so they decided that the last arc (4 episodes, not 3) will be on DVD/BD (and possibly online streaming, etc.). I mean, it's either that or they could just not adapt the fourth arc at all and wait for a hypothetical second season, I guess. It's not some evil conspiracy...

The way the first two arcs ended did a good job of setting reasonable expectations for me when it came to this latest conclusion.

The first two arcs shows that Kokoro Connect likes to end off its arcs very nice, neat, and tidy; and with a bit of a twist and a heartwarming sendoff. Within that format and style, I think this 3rd arc (and season) conclusion was a success. I liked much more of it than what I disliked of it. I also think that it was a great episode for Iori while still making the entire main cast feel like important contributors to the arc's conclusion.

I also very much like the twist of Heartseed's offer, and the reasons that Iori gave for rejecting it. This is one time when the philosophizing of this show really resonated with me, where I get what Iori is saying, have no problems imagining a teenager saying it, and where I honestly think the words chosen were eloquent and even somewhat succinct.

When it's all said and done, I think that Kokoro Connect has done a pretty good job of using its various gimmicks (body-swapping, desires-unleashing, de-aging) as effective vehicles for character drama and character development. I do get a sense that all five of the main characters have matured a bit over the course of this anime, and that all of them have at least begun to walk down the road to recovery when it comes to their various issues and complexes.

Certainly there's weaknesses to this show, and it's not hard to imagine more exciting ways that these various gimmicks could have played out, but then again those more exciting ways may have upset the generally pleasant feel that the show aimed for in each of its three arc conclusions. Ultimately the show put its characters before its intriguing premises, with the premises being the servants of the characters rather than the other way around. While there may be some disappointment there, it also probably made for a more heartwarming show.

I might have more to add later, but I'll leave it at that for now.

This show's characters actions really amuse me. This is one of the few series that focus more on the actions the characters take than on the outcomes of this. Iori's denial for Heartseed's offer was a proof that she matured and realized that what happens on our lives, being good or bad, is what makes who we are.
Yui also matured a bit since the show's beggining, she got much nicer and strong willed.

How I would sum up Kokoro Connect:

"Great ideas, poor execution."

Now, I wouldn't call Kokoro Connect a bad show, not at all, but it certainly had ideas that could've made it superb. But for it to work, these ideas would each have to be given much more episodes. In other words, they should've ignored the source material.

24 episodes of bodyswapping? Now THAT, if played right, would be great.

Yeah. Plus:
- it's a business.
- at least they didn't stop in the middle of an arc.
