Yeah. That's a good one. Wakamoto actually played the God in Mirai Nikki as well. That's two deities! The man is a beast!

I can't in good conscience write this post without mentioning Holo. What she lacks in ability to alter space and time, she makes up for with pure feistiness and unadulterated charm. There's never a dull moment when she's around. Wolves always were my favorite animal, and Holo reinforces that belief tenfold.

Another great deity from a fun little show called Nekogami Yaoyorozu is Mayu. Possibly the laziest god ever. She's a cat god, and like cats, she basically lies around sleeping most of the time. She's a lot of fun when she gets going, and is laugh-out-loud funny, especially when she's trying to explain away her misdeeds. Actually, most of the cast from this show could serve as potential nominees. There's a ton of fun characters, most of them deities.

The last one I'll put up for consideration here is Kuugen from Wagaya no Oinari-sama. A mischievous, but kind at heart, fox deity who much like Mayu is just a complete riot. I especially like how she takes advantage of her dual nature, sometimes appearing as female, and sometimes as a male. I'm sure you can imagine what she's able to get away with with that at her disposal. Great character, and I appreciate how the show was able to play with her gender despite the fact that her drop-dead-gorgeous female form was no doubt a major selling point for many viewers.
