sub-forum for ero-games?
per kj1980's informed posts on the subject i (and i assume many other people as well) got interested in ero-games. would/could the administrator/moderators consider creating a sub-forum just for discussions pertaining to that particular topic? thank you.

There are anime series based on ero-games, but to what degree that justifies a dedicated forum for ero-games (as opposed to simply using General Chat/Anime), I'm not sure. AnimeSuki is, as its name implies, first and foremost a forum about anime.
Not that I would mind a ero-game forum, or a forum for any Japanese-styled game (both adult and regular). There are a few forums discussing games like these, but sadly a lot of them are riddled with people asking how to get these games for free, or moaning about how expensive they are. You could try the Peach Princess board, it belongs to a company who translates Japanese ero-games. I personally dislike the place, so I don't frequent it.

I'd like to discuss such things.
I say a plain old "Games" forum, with rules against asking how to download them. This is what makes AnimeSuki's music forum better than other BBSes, and it will make the games forum better too.

I agree, a plain game sub-forum may be pretty good. I think one dedicated to simply ero-games would be a bit much. Personally, I don't have much to say about ero-games but could see myself in the future posting in a "games" forum...especially if my financial status changes from...broke.

If anyone is looking for an English-language erogames forum already in existence, Peach Princess BBS is worth a look.
I play erogames but I have no real opinion on or great interest in any kind of gaming forum here. Last edited by babbito2k; 2004-02-03 at 04:41. |

Interesting idea, I think it could work. Since their has been an recent interest in those types of games lately thanks to a few animes based on them. I think giving it a generic name like games is more appropriate then Ero or Bishoujo that way all PC/Video Games related topics can be discussed instead of only the Ero/Bishoujo ones.. Anyways I'm all for it. Lets see what GHDpro and the other mods has to say about it.

Sorry, I kinda took a 2-day break away from the site.
Anyway...: "Ero-Game" forum Since the AnimeSuki forum doesn't allow hentai, I'd be against a forum that would only cater "ero" (hentai) games. "Anime Game" forum Like music this would be a subforum of the "Anime" forum, so it would cater ALL anime games, including say, Inu Yasha for PSX or Evangelion 2 for PS2, but also allow discussion of "ero" games as well. "General Game" forum This would be placed inside the "AnimeSuki & Technology" section. In that location it would cater to ALL games of ALL kind. I wouldn't prefer this kind of forum since there are already tons of generic game forums anyway... I'll await a few more reactions on this reply for going ahead to create suggestion #2 or #3 above... |

Not all ero-games are related to anime, but restricting specific titles seems like a lot of extra work for the Mods and Admins. What's more work, I wonder; enforcing specific title/genre restriction, or managing a forum where every game can (and probably will be) discussed... *Edit* Maybe I should specify that I'm voting for #2....

I like the idea of a forum for discussing anime games, it would get all the FF threads out of general chat. And it would be fun to discuss anime games.
So since this is a Anmie board and we dont need a regular game forum I vote for #2 |

Er, and when does a game become an anime game? I can already see threads closed because someone thought Final Fantasy was an anime game while someone else was under the impression it wasn't. I would like to see a games forum, but it would probably be easier to moderate if it had some simple guidelines such as "any game can be discussed," "no asking for illegal materials," and "no adult-only content".
AnimeSuki has already expanded it's forums beyond anime and BitTorrent with the likes of the Tech Support board. A little more expansion in its sphere of influence wouldn't hurt. |

Megane says pretty much everything that I wanted to say. So rather then just restate everything he said I'll just quote him.
