Except the anime has basically ignored rank and level completely and just did whatever was cool/effective, among other things. (Also, thought one of the very early ones used only for fusion ignored s-link establishment.) The point was more "They have the option" anyway. There's still a lot of untouched territory and there is no social link to summon *that* anyway which is very likely coming.

i just read something nice: Yuu summon Kohryu, ultimate persona of the Hierophant Arcana is to represent that Dojima will protect Nanako forever (Dojima's Arcana is Hierophant)

This, I never understood the reasoning behind it. A majority of people hate open endings too. Ship teasing is one thing, but rather than an open ending that disappoints equally, why not satisfy one side?

Then again, Yu is pretty dense in the show. Sigh. Dense MC= Open end. The unwritten rules of anime storytelling

Because instead of pissing off one side, (the ones that dislike open endings) you'll be pissing off like 6 or so (Yukiko, Naoto, Chie, Rise, Nanako, Yosuke, I may be forgetting some of the options, but basically you'll be separating all the fanbase)

I personally prefer Yukiko, Nato, Chie, Rise, and Nanako. I like MCxMargaret, too. Margaret seems to agree with me. : )

The end of the episode definitely had a lot of impact. I figured that Yu's reactions would have more power to them in the anime. It was pretty tough to watch....Nanako !

All those Personas, that rare power of his, and Narukami still couldn't do anything at that moment. I might have added some sad music to really make it hit people, but a silent approach has its merits too.

I've never liked that method myself either. You equally piss off all the shipping groups since he doesn't end up with their pick instead of at least making one group happy. Maybe they feel all the groups in the open ending are less angry than if one is actually picked. Oh well.

But in Persona4, it's not open. Where a pairing is established is set in stone. That would actually be a closed answer of "None" which kinda makes sense in some way given he's only supposed to be there for a year.

This man speaketh wisdom, this is the only way to satisfy everyone, and I mean that for the characters and shippers.

Especially the characters. Especially Yuu.

Who wait what?

In the game, the protagonist Yuu could have as many girlfriends as he wanted with no trouble. If they want the series to have any resolution to the romance it should be either harem ending or nothing. I'm fine with nothing because in the end it really doesn't matter. Though seeing harem end for Yuu would be epic. :P

I personally never cared for romance in Persona 4. Although I do have my preferences and some couples do come as odd to me (like MC x Chie or MC x Naoto).

;-; Was totally not expecting that to happen to Nanoko, if they don't figure out a way to magically revive her by the end of the series I'm going to be depressed. >.>
Oh and more comparison shots between the tv series and the BRs.

Looks so much better on Blu-ray. Must be milking the franchise and forcing people to buy the superior version of P4A. Looks like the Investigation Team will face Namatame and learn the truth. As for Kuma, he seems depressed about Nanako's condition.

I don't think this show put much romance in, so there's nothing to resolve. In the game, Yuu can romance all of the girls near his age, but there's an internal priority list to determine which one goes all the way at the end.

Episode 22:
* Yeah, the entire dungeon basically gets skipped right to the boss fight. If anybody's wondering, what Nanako talks about in the dungeon is basically missing her mother and putting on a strong front despite being alone and lonely all the time.
* In the game, the guys rush Namatame and grab Nanako before his transformation. Naoto had tried a more thorough conversation first (but Namatame's replies are still "I was trying to save her"), which is why she felt guilty later.
* Yuu's Personae:
* Saturnus of the Star
* Arahabaki of the Hermit
* Atropos of the Fortune
* Tam Lin of the Sun
* Beelzebub of the Devil (which he blew up Naoto's dungeon with. Apparently this will be his highest-level Persona before getting his final one.)
* Kohryu of the Heirophant (at 76, lower than Beelzebub, has less defenses but no Hama weakness and higher endurance.)
*Sraosha of the Justice.
* In the game, the MC is the only party member who is not controlled. The other three in the battle party will be, and the player better put up his physical defenses those two turns or else. There is no way to stop Kunino-Sagiri's control except to wait it out.
* Yuu uses Sraosha's Mahamaon (enhanced by Hama Boost) to destroy all of the Shadows. I think they dissipate harmlessly in the game upon Kunino-Sagiri's defeat.
* I find it odd they did not replace generic nurse with Saeko. I found that odd in the game too.

It's the sort of thing any person who watches harem anime or Amagami can expect, but spoilered just in case:

Aw man. I just saw the episode. Narukami's voice keeps ringing in my head. That's the voice of someone who is about to lose everything.

For the romantic part, I would like to see Yu and Yukiko!! They are both dense when it comes to somebody "liking" them.
