So to spark some more interesting talk, whats everyones goal of the tourny?

Mines has to be Van Bronckhorst against Uruguay, stike and a half.

Netherlands is quite lucky that they haven't already gotten a red card. I'm really surprised with this match. The Dutch are being uncharacterisitcally aggressive in this match. Perhaps il polipo was right after all

Maicon's unbelievable curl into North Korea's net during the group stages.

Japan's two free kicks into Denmark's net also get my vote.

I hardly call it "uncharacteristic". The Dutch have sacrificed finesse for brawn in many of their matches this tournament. I don't like it, but it's got them this far, so I can't deny that it has paid dividends for the Oranje. Even as I type, Heitinga earns the fifth yellow for the Netherlands. Like Blaat predicted, the Dutch gameplan is to hack the Spaniards to pieces.

I want Spain to win more than ever now. Teach the new Dutch a lesson. Imagine the irony, to be beaten by the evolved version of Total Football, invented in the Netherlands, but which could never get them the most coveted prize in football.

Is it me or has Torres been running around 'warming up' for the entire match?

Lolwut? Uncharacteristically? Then why did the same happen in their match against another hispanic team, Portugal, in the last world cup?

Ramos with possibly the widest free header ever.

EDIT: Epic drama now.

EDIT2: Have no idea how he got away with leveling Bommel.

I was sure Iniesta was going to be sent off there. Most referees would've given the red there I think. This one seems intent in not taking it out of his pocket.

Kinda glad he did in this situation though. Can't blame Iniesta for letting Bommel's constant agression get to him.

They do tend to get a fair number of yellow cards, and they did in this tournament, but compared to the other matches from this tournament, they struck me as being particularly aggressive. I wasn't comparing them to how they were in the previous cup.

Portugal got the blame for that match, while the Dutch were portrayed as innocent victims.
