Maybe I'll try making avatars. Have to do all of this street team work.
They all look gorgeous. Thanks a lot, and merry xmas!

There will be a special event to commemorate the next stage start. On 2013/01/05, at 3 different shops in Akihabara flyers will be distributed. Each shop will distribute a flyer with a different color from the others (to a total of 3 colors, blue, red and pink). The time they will be distributing is different for each shop. Whoever gathers one flyer of every 3 colors will be able to exchange it, only during that same day, for a AKB0048 file folder ("クリアファイル" means clear file, and is a kind of file folder, but I wasn't able to get what would be the exact term for that kind of English).

It's indeed called a clear file.

I was thinking about the late sales figures for both DVD and BD volumes; not surprisingly the more "normal" titles enjoyed a lion's share of sales, partly because they got the choice late-night TV timeslots.

From here: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...92#post3958392
DVD:
Quote:
AKB0048 *1,179+*3,705=*4,884 (5) (Satelight)
2012/06/27 *1,964 Vol. 1 (One episode)
2012/07/25 *1,086 Vol. 2 (Three episodes up to Vol. 5)
2012/09/05 **,994 Vol. 3
2012/09/26 **,905 Vol. 4
2012/10/31 **,948 Vol. 5
BD:
Quote:
2012/06/27 *6,026 Vol. 1
2012/07/25 *3,239 Vol. 2
2012/09/05 *3,275 Vol. 3
2012/09/26 *2,931 Vol. 4
2012/10/31 *3,055 Vol. 5
But even then Next Stage is much anticipated than that certain Lantis-backed show that was known only in the pages of a certain fan magazine.

I'm surprised we got a second season with those numbers. Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Man what I'd give for a close-up of that first one. I'm sure we've seen most of those backgrounds before but still.

A post on tsubasa's blog commenting about the comiket.

From the goods listed there is that setup data and original pictures collection book, a Mayuyu Mk3 and Chieri's solo photographs collection, that shirt that was in the pictures from sa547's post (seems like there were 5 other patters but the one shows is the one the staff selected, not sure where the other patters will be sold too). That poster with Nagisa and Chieri cosplaying seems to be a gift to the first people to expand more than 500yen at satellite's booth on comiket.

Could've been Sheryl and Ranka, if only Big West were to allow them, but then they're separate franchises (and recording companies -- MF and EVOL has Flying Dog, while Moretsu and 0048 get tracks by Starchild/King).

Spoiler for SCOOPUDA:

While it doesn't have much value right now as we already had access to the episode itself, they updated on the main site the text preview for ep "14".

Actually, Aquarion EVOL's music production is also from Flying Dog (or Victor Entertainment), but it doesn't matter since all of them are created by Satelight.

Anyways, looking forward for Ep. 14 next year!

Fixed. Didn't know much about EVOL, except for the first two episodes. :P

Well, consider the broadcast situation the anime originally was under (wasn't aired in any major TV market like the top three market in Tokyo, Osaka, or Nagoya), that is a fairly good number.

Besides for anime, break-even point is usually 2500 and usually 5000 would be enough to virtually guarantee a new season .

While it's sale is a bit lower than that, it is above the usual break-even point.

Then you consider the broadcast situation and this is actually a pretty successful project.

Besides it been gaining more steam though out the year as more station pick it up for re-runs.

I mean, it was aired in Tokyo market until late July on Tokyo MX, and now Tokyo MX picks the season 2 out on day one show that the numbers on re-runs must be good enough for the change of heart...

More importantly, AKB48 been gaining more new fans because of this series. It is more of a marketing tool to promote AKB48.

I wonder if there would be a chance that AKB49 will have a anime adaptation?

Went to check the pages on MAL; except for Acchan, turns out someone changed the stage names to their real names, which means I have to get used to the new scheme.

However, what's not going to sit with me is using... um, "kilala" to name the cosmic critters.
