Ep 22 review is here

As the Gaels prepare their armies to fight the Dark Army at Palladium, Arwan tells Arthur to go Gorswen Arwan (Arwan's throne) if he wants to find the knowledge of the world. Over there lies the sword Drcwryn, the God Killer & the former sword of his ancestor King Pwyll which may help them against the forces of the White Angels. Arwan accepts the quest sinec eh wants to makes sure Talisen death was not in vain.

Arthur, along with Octavia, Riannon, Morgan, Llyr & Rathy arrived at Gorsewn(which looks like Stonehenge) by horses. There they find the sword Drcwryn in a stone. When Arthur tries to pull it out, he is immediately effected by magic spell that shows him a flashback.

A long time after Arwan left the 12 Angels, Pwyll is the leader of his people the Elves.
After a cities of theirs is bombed by Gravitas Obelisks by Heaven, Pwyll calms his people by praying to God & the White Angels in these distressing times. But however, secretly in a forest, he feels that their prays or not being answers & doesn't know what to do next. He suddenly finds Primula, at first he thinks she one of the Humans the Elces have been keeping at Avalon. He feels sorry for humans since the only can do is pray to God.

When he tries to bring her away, he stop by Arwan. Arwan tells him that the child is his & Pwyll has no right to take her. Pwyll has heard about Arwan as he known as the Prince of Dragons at a country far away from Avalon. Nevertheless Pwyll wants Arwan to give up the girl since it's the Elves duty to bring them to Avalon by the order of the Angels. Arwan suggest if he wants the girl he should fight him & gives Pwyll the sword Drcwryn, the God Killer. Pwyll is horrified that Arwan has such a weapon with him. Arwan ask Pwyll if what they their doing to humans is right since their just leaving them to die in Avalon & nothing else. Face with this fact, Pwyll break down & admits its wrong but doesn't know what to do since it's an order from Heaven.

When the sun finally shines into the forest, Primula starts to lauh when sees a Bee wants to know what it is. Pwyll is suprise she can talk & Arwan explains the reason for that was because of Myriddin actions. When Pwyll demands Arwan on how does he know that name, Arwan reveals himself as the 13th White Angel. Pwyll immediately bows to Arwan & aks what should heis people do, Arwan explain that the Elves should fight to be free from the rule of the 12 Angels so all race scan live freely just like the country Arwan came from which compose of races the White Angels previously destroy but manage to survive. With renew vigor, Pwyll ask Arwan to help him to free the wolrd from the 12 Angels as freind & Comrade. He agrees & both of them reveal their real names (Arwan=Lucifer, Pwyll=Regius aka Little King). Arwan laughs what Pwyll real name means which is quick to anger Pwyll but he decides to laugh about it as well which Primula has no idea but laughs with them.

Back in the real world, a large group of Black Knights surround the Heroes so Octavia & the rest decides to fight them so Arthur can pull out the sword. In the flashback, we arrive at the scene after the last battle that Arwan fought in before his Millennium sleep. Arwan is injured after being shoot by a electrum cannon. Pwyll ask Ogam to try to heal but Ogam there's nothing he can do with that serious injury. Arwan ask Pwyll how did the battle go & Pwyll tell him they won thanks to Arwan who use himself as bait to the armies of the White Angels while the Elves manage to to stop the Gravitas Obelisk from activating since the Angels were too focus on killing Arwan. Arwan apologizes to Pwyll for having so many Elves killed but Pwyll does not mind since they were all fighting for a great cause. Sensing he might not be able to be stay awake soon, he tells Pwyll while he'll never be able to fight along side with him again, he believes his descendants will.
As they arrive at Gorswen Arwan, Both Pwyll & Arwan stab Drcwryn into the stab & performing a spell that crates a shield that would cut off the connection between Heaven & Earth before Arwan finally sleeps & Pwyll promising his descendants will continue to help the world.

With this new knowledge, Arthur finally understand the history of the world & realize that Drcwryn powers have weaken over the years which explain how the 12 Angels came back to rule the world but he ask the sword for its powers so he may help his friends just like last time it was use. When Drcwryn is finally release, its power destroy all of the Black Knights & tells everyone, that with this sword victory is at hand. Meanwhile at Palladium (the place where the Giant White Tower that one of the White Angels commanded), Arwan's sword detects the presence of Drcwryn which Arwan takes this as a signal that their ready as the Gaels prepare to attack the tower.

Pretty much identical to the game - unfortunately it also shares the same flaw, as all this part feels slightly forced.

Great episode we get yet another history lesson that explains the history of Arwan and Pywll. Interesting how they met and interesting how Arwan was an ass towards him but it worked lol.

Arthur has removed the sword from the stone cant wait to see him go all bad ass like with it. Im not sure what powers he has but the sword its self is impressive.

Ok so i forgot to take a snap shot of it but when Arhtur enters the war room and pushes the doors open in beginning i was like

"When did Aragorn get in this series."

A press release posted at the AoD forums says that Sentai Filmworks (formerly ADV) has licensed Tears to Tiara and will be releasing the first part in late November. (Source, forum membership might be required to read post)

Well, good for US consumers I guess, but I'm not supporting ex-ADV in any shape or form, therefore I'll stick to R2 releases. And I guess there's little motivation left to post now that has been licensed.

Last time I posted in a "licensed" anime thread here was when GONZO made Witchblade, and let's say I wasn't really pleased with the "limitations" on the discussion (mostly done by posters though), since most people were "expecting" the actual release and talking about the anime currently airing wasn't really encouraged - it ended up with 2-3 people talking among themselves. This was years ago but I'm still wary.
And I'm buyng the Blu-Ray version, so the "fansub" argument is a moot point. However, even if I didn't, I refuse to give money to anyone associated with ADV.

Regarding that scene, it made me laugh quite a bit that it taken Arawn a few minutes to notice Arthur wasn't there.

Loved the two flashback scenes. Seeing Ogam cry made me

Well, from a Rules perspective, you're allowed to continue discussing the anime -- even the currently-airing episodes -- so long as you don't talk about fansubs, where to get them, which groups are subbing, how to download the show, and so on. That's really the only limitation. Not everyone in this thread watches the English subs anyway.

On another note, it's simply amazing to me that you can buy the entire series on DVD with English subs for about the same price as one (of 8!) of the Japanese Blu-ray releases.

It's asking a lot, though i hope we see the blu-ray versions released outside of Japan sometime in the future.

That bit made me laugh too. I wonder how long that meeting had been going on? I'm not sure whether to place the blame on Arawn for failing to notice that his First Warrior wasn't present. Or to blame Arthur for not having a memorable enough presence such that he should be noticed when absent.

Amazing isn't the word I would use. Disappointed is more like it. I checked out what it would cost to import the blu-ray version and .... well, let's just say my money is staying in the US unless I get an unexpected and large windfall.

About episode 22, my favorite part had to be when Pwyll gets angry and raises his fist because Arawn is laughing at his true name.
Arawn (dubiously, raising his fists): Is this where friends should quarrel?
Pwyll realizes what's happened and laughs.
Arawn (very confused): Ah, should I have laughed? This friend thing is pretty complicated.

And then Primula declares both men weird. Arawn is so young there.

Well (to quickly close the OT) let's say that while I respect the rules, I do not fully agree with them, so I may or may not stop posting depending on the situation. And it's true, the English version is cheaper, but I personally hate sets and recent works done like this have treated DVD like a VHS (it'll probably be a bare-bone version). And worse, it's being done by ADV (different name but same people basically), which I strongly dislike. That said, the Blu Ray version isn't worth its price, objectively speaking.

This is one series i would love to pick up on Bluray. I always thought Tx3 was drawn and animated beautifully but seeing it on my Samsung 42 inch LCD in 1080P would being me much happiness.

The meeting btwn Pwyll and Arawn was great espc how Arawn kinda taunted him, until Pwyll realized who he was

Primula laughing and then clapping her hand over mouth was so cute espc since Pwyll had just said laughing wasnt allowed. I liked how Pwyll is the one who teaches Arawn about friendship.

Mmmm hurt!Arawn... I did love his line about it not being his style to die and become a god, I agree with that.

Well it's been flashback city the last few episodes. Hopefully Arthur gets to learn all this stuff and be allowed to live with the knowledge. Pretty likely now that he's using a magic sword.

I wonder if anyone ever think of this but this anime may actually has a sad ending. I mean even if they defeat the 12 angels ( I prefer calling them angels like in the game intead of spirits) and live happy ever after, Araw will be the one to suffer sorrow and sadness in the end. He is immortal and can live forever right? unless he kill himsef. So sooner or later he will had to see his friends, sevents, and his beloved wives passed away and he will be the only one left, maybe with Orgam. So unless if he has some kind of immortal spell otherwise it would be really sad for Araw. Maybe he can commit suicide (joking).

Sorry for the bad English.
