It's really too early to know... I usually give each anime at least 2 episodes before forming an opinion.

ehh.

So far, nothing has really impressed me except for Code Geass R2's first episode. (I've seen Itazura na Kiss , Kanokon, Bus Gamer, and CG R2, so there might be stuff I missed.)
I'm really looking forward to Vampire Knight and Nabari no Ou too, and I expect them to be good shoujo/shounen anime respectively.

Kure-nai is a big hit with me, and Special A impressed me just with the trailers. Also, Da Capo II Second Season has been in my to watch list ever since the end of the first season.

Of course, there's the obligatory Macross F if you're more into action with high production values like Code Geass.

I honestly thought the first episode of druaga was hilarious. I'm curious how the show is going to play out though.

Yeah, I actually thought Druaga's first episode was pointless but enjoyable.

Macross F looks like it'll be good. Nice visuals, good CG, and Lanka is cute.
Kurenai has potential, though I'm not fond of the character designs that much (I'll get over it eventually.)
Vampire Knight has some pretty high production values considering DEEN's also doing three other anime this season.

Zettai Karen Children is a bit.. "weird", but it's pretty fun.

But if we judged animes by the first episodes, many of the cult classics (*cough*Haru*cough*hi*cough*)may have been blown off by a good chunk of people.

Really? I thought the first episode was a big hit.

I know I was hooked.

Anyway, can't offer suggestions since I don't know what the OP likes. I can't even recommend Macross, since I didn't like it. And I love Code Geass.

No neko-chan fans here? Chi's Sweet Home is one of the most charming and funny shows I've seen in a while.

So far, judging from the first episode alone, Vampire Knight is worth watching. CG R2 is also, if you've watched the first season.

EDIT: Kure-nai is good also. I have yet to watch Special A, so any comments on that?

Special A is in competition for my runner-up series for this season based on the first episode alone, particularly against Macross F and Kure-nai. So yeah, for me it's that good. If you liked KareKano, you'd probably enjoy it. But if you're expecting something like Ouran, prepare to be disappointed.

Of course, Vampire Knight gets the top spot, for making me interested in a theme that I usually find boring (read: non-humans, which by extension includes vampires).
