Maybe the way he said it might be... Blunt but it's not like it won't kill writers to point out any pairings in the fic before you read it (unless it's meant to be a secret I suppose). Just throwing in my two cents there...

"Arf... have you ever considered... dating anyone?

The question came from out of the blue during one of the coffee meetings, that definitely weren't dates, Zafira and Arf had had for a while. One moment Zafira had been staring defectively into his coffee (Black, not that Arf had been paying attention) the next he was asking her odd questions.

Arf of course had to respond with an odd answer, "O-of course not! It's a familar's duty to look after her master anything that would distract from that isn't allowed."

"Mm." Zafira nodded solemnly. "Of course."

"R-right," Arf was growing redder and redder with each word. "Besides what good is romance anyway... I mean it's such a temporary thing and er... stuff."

Zafira chuckled softly, "could it be you've never been in love Arf?"

Arf scowled, this was so like Zafira, treating her like a little kid, just because he was a few hundred years older didn't give him the right. "I've been in love. I've been in love a lot."

"Mere crushes."

Arf growled silently, who was he to judge? The giant blue wall of stoicism had problem never even looked at a woman twice.

"I doubt you've ever kissed anyone."

...Something in Arf's brain broke. Perhaps it was Zafira, who's chances of having ever kissed anyone were even less than Arf's. "Hmm? Are you saying you have?"

Zafira merely shrugged and smirked, he was only ever like this around Arf as far as she was aware. "Perhaps I am."

"You can't prove I haven't. Maybe I've kissed dozens."

"Oh I can tell."

Was he... flirting? Holy shit! Zafira was flirting! The world would be ending soon, so Arf decided to enjoy the moment. "I'll need proof of that," and she was flirting back...

"Fine then," He leaned forward.

... Zafira...was inviting her... to kiss him. Arf's embarrassment, curiosity and well desire to accept were overwhelming so she leaned over and...

Zafira had kissed someone before. Most definitely.


Meanwhile just below the counter peering over Vivio, who had recently started working part time at the coffee establishment, grinned at her handiwork while her two best friends and cousins flailed beside her, well one flailed.

"You spiked his coffee!" Kalel's mouth fell open. "I thought we wanted them to naturally fall in love!"

"Zafira wouldn't make a move if Arf threw her self on him shouting 'Take me now big boy'," Riela ruffled her twin's hair. "All this is doing is providing a little motivation."

"A little too much! Look at him!"

Indeed Zafira was now halfway over the table.

"He looks like he's going to eat Arf!"

Vivio looked off to the side, "Side effect..."

"What?"

"It's just a side effect."

"Kal has a point, at the rate he's going I do believe there'll be public indecency charges soon," Riela pointed at the wolf who was now going for poor Arf's shirt. The wolf really did not hold his liquor well.

"EH?! Z-ZAFIRA!" They needn't have worried as Arf's cry alerted them to a new fact. Zafira had passed out on the table.

"Heh... they can now have a romantic ride to the hospital?"

Kalel and Riela are Chrono's twins for those who don't remember.

"Raaaaaage!" Tempest screamed from across the school yard after beating up a random person for insulting his sneakers.

Vivio blushed darkly and looked away. "S-so? Like you have?"

"Yes," Saharet answered at once.

"Totally," Allquall waved it off.

Syn snickered but quickly found a finger being pointed at her. "You havn't either!"

"So?" Syn shrugged. "I have no intention of being a girly-girl snuggling up to some biiiiig strong macho man for kisses." She rolled her eyes.

Vivo pouted at her. "But surely you've thought about what it would be like?" She got another shrug and the impassive smile that Syn was known for. "Mou, just me then." Her eyes looked to the side when the sounds of a car pulling up came. Upon seeing that it was her cooler mother, she stood and offered her hand to her friend. "Come on ,Syn, mama's here."

Syn took the offered hand and used the other to grab her backpack. "See you girls after the weekend." Several goodbyes rang behind them as they boarded the car that had even the punk street racers of the school drooling. Fate smiled at her daughter and friend as they boarded but looked at Syn the most, a smile on her lips that clearly read that she knew why she was picking her up as well.

"Mama," Vivio began after they pulled out of the schoolyard. "When was your first kiss?"

"What brought that up, sweetheart?" Fate pondered the seemingly random question.

"Just answer?" Vivio tried again.

"Mmmmm... I think when I was twelve. I don't know, it was so long ago."

Syn grinned and leaned between the front seats to look at Fate with interest. "Twelve? Really? Wow, with who!?"

"Buckle up, Syn." Fate scolded gently while trying to repress a small smile. She liked Syn the most of her daughter's friends and even talked to her on the phone a few minutes before handing it over to Vivio when she called. "And it was Nanoha, of course."

Vivio gasped at her. "At twelve though!?"

"We were wondering what kissing was, so we tried it." Fate informed them with a fond smile of the memory. "It was really funny actually, we were watching a movie and it tasted like butter popcorn."

Leaning back in her seat, Vivio hummed to herself. The scenery passed by with no further questions and eventually she found herself dropped off at her house along with her friend that was staying the night with her. "Thank you mama, I'll see you tonight."

"Bye-bye, Vivio, Syn. Be good until we get home okay?"

Syn spoke up before her friend could. "Can we be bad after that then?" She got a smile before Fate drove off, leaving them at the front door. "Well then, what'cha want to do?"

"First get inside where the heat is." Vivio quickly opened the door and allowed her friend into her house. A bag of chips and two drinks were grabbed on the way to her room and after closing the door, the blonde fell onto her bed face up.

"What's bothering you?" Syn asked around the rim of her can while drinking. "Don't tell me you're upset about this whole kissing thing?"

"Well, unlike you, I have a romantic bone in my body." She was chuckled at but continued anyway. "What if I kiss someone and I suck at it? I don't even know what to do."

"Pucker up and press together? I dunno."

Vivio sat up quickly and looked at Syn, almost making the girl choke on her drink from the quickness of it. "Syn, kiss me."

"...I'm sorry, what?"

"You heard me." Vivio glared. "Kiss me, I want to learn how to kiss."

"You have cooties," Syn stuck out her tongue. "I'm not kissing you."

"Oh come on! Who else could I ask!?" Vivio pressed her friend, moving closer to her. "I'm already embarrassed enough as it is."

Syn looked at Vivio for a few moments before sighing in defeat. "Alright, fine, fine. We'll learn how to kiss, but in return, don't mess with my hair for a month."

"A month!?"

"A month." Syn confirmed it.

"...Two weeks."

"Three."

"Two and a half."

"Deal." The two shook on it and turned to face each other. "Okay..." Each girl leaned forward to start but Syn pulled back at the last moment. "Ugh, your breath reeks of salt and vinegar chips, go brush your teeth."

"Hey! That's rude!"

"You know I hate those things." Syn crossed her arms, refusing to give in.

"Ugh," Vivio got off her bed and left the room. Moments passed and the sounds of running water came from the bathroom down the hall. After almost three minutes the girl came back in, reclosing the door. “There. Happy?" To stress her point, she sat in front of Syn on her bed and blew softly.

Closing her eyes, Syn inhaled the air slowly, a small smile coming on her lips. "Minty fresh." A small giggle came back and they both looked at each other before leaning forward once more.

A quick peck on the lips made them both pull back and grin, each one finding it amusing that they just did that. After shifting positions to get comfortable again, Vivio moved forward once more, kissing Syn on the lips and staying there for a few moments before breaking it off. "Not so bad?"

"Not really." Syn agreed lightly before kissing Vivio this time. Their eyes stayed open, sparkling at each other as they took turns both initiating the kiss and receiving it. Finally, after several pecks and a few longer ones, Syn moved forward even more. Her lips met Vivio's soundly and they both tumbled over so the blond was on her back and Syn was on top of her. A small surprised yelp was the only thing that Vivio let out before kissing her friend a little more firmly.

Having gotten used to how to move her mouth and breathe through her nose, Syn slipped her tongue out to meet Vivio's lips. At once the blonde gripped the sides of Syn's sweater and wiggled under her. Again the tongue came against her lips and she opened up to them, feeling Syn's touch hers without hesitation. 'Oh gross,' the words flashed through Vivio's mind immediately. 'I'm Frenching Syn!' Despite the awkwardness, the girl tried to keep up with her somehow skilled partner. 'I'm drooling, I can tell...' A small pause allowed them both to swallow and Syn rested her forehead against her friend's.

"This is kind of fun, actually." Syn revealed with an amused tone in her voice.

"... Yeah, I guess it is." Vivio smiled back up at her and parted her lips when Syn's tongue touched them again. This time she went on an urge and gently stated to suck softly as her mouth was invaded. She rolled her tongue over Syn's twice before finally opening her mouth up more to allow the girl to retreat. "How was that?"

"Sure you've never done this?" Syn was almost laughing at her.

"Positive. Kiss me." Vivio found her lips met forcefully and tongue slide into her mouth at once, this time trying to lick her tonsils. She found her shoulders pressed down on as Syn straddled her and finally closed her eyes. She allowed the girl several moments to explore her mouth before finally having to swallow. 'I can't taste anything but her...' Her mind drifted as her hands released Syn's shirt and moved to the small of her back, pulling her closer. 'Syn... I really like this.'

Laying down on her friend, Syn pulled back and gave teasing butterfly kisses around Vivio's mouth before licking the trail of saliva running her friend's neck. "Sloppy."

"Can't help it when you're making me deep throat your tongue." Vivio complained, cheeks burning at the action. "Don't stop."

Syn nodded and kissed her again, her hands running over Vivio's sides. 'She taste so good... I can't believe this, I actually really like it...' Pushing her feelings, the girl opened her mouth more, now panting into her friend's mouth. The action was accepted at once and they fought each other for air while hugging each other close.

Vivio let out a small moan, which was chuckled at by her friend. Not one to let that go, she allowed her hands to slide down to Syn's butt and grabbed it fully in both her hands, pulling Syn's waist closer and getting a shocked but pleased gasp into her mouth.

The motion broke something inside of Syn and her hips rocked against her friend's waist as her hand slid up Vivio's shirt. The bra was found and slid under without hesitation, making Vivio falter her kissing momentarily.

'Syn...' Vivio massaged her friend's backside, pulling upwards along with the unsure rocking of hips. 'I'm... with Syn...' Her rhythm missed a beat and she found her hands slipping under the jeans of her friend. 'I want to...' She pressed the motion, now gripping Syn's panties and shifting them so she could touch the skin. The panting against her mouth picked up and their bodies rocked against each other's again, now starting to lose it's innocence.

Syn gasped more, moving her other hand to pull Vivio's shirt and bra up over her chest. Her hands moved over the breasts and along the smooth skin of her sides. Their tongues battled more, breathing unsteady and ragged. 'Vivio... I don't' want to stop.'

'Don't stop, Syn, it feels too good to stop...' Vivio gave into her desire, letting out a cross between a gasp and a long moan. One hand slid from Syn's rear and slid up her back, pulling the shirt upwards and finding the clasp of her friend's bra.

"Vivio, I'm home!" The sudden call from Nanoha made each girl instantly break and scramble away from each other. Clothes were hastily adjusted and their panting was forcefully paused when the light knocking on her door came. "Vivio, you here?"

"Y-Yes ma'am!"

Nanoha opened the door and peeked in, smiling at the two girls. "I bought some ice cream, would you two like some?"

"P-please." Syn stammered out. If Nanoha noticed that something was different, she didn't show it. Instead she smiled at them happily and closed the door behind herself as she went about getting them their treat.

Vivio panted once more, holding a hand to her chest and looking at the bed. 'Oh my god... I just made out with Syn... made out! That... that wasn't learning... that was...real?' She looked over at her friend, who had a mix between shock and fear on her face. One thing was for sure, they would have a very awkward time tonight...

This pairing doesn't get my attention easily, but you did it again: That was awesome!
Now you have me here wishing that it wasn't just a "small little something ^^", but a longer fic. We need to know what happens next! An awkward night sounds promising xD

Maybe, just maybe, something really Epic will be coming to English (and Spanish) fanfiction. We should still decide what we're going to do with this, but if something happens news will be spread and a proper (and already translated) preview will be shared (Thanks anon!! T_T).

No, but it has a similar setting it seems.
The one you mention is Providence from ff.net, and in my books it is beyond Epic too, but it's a pity that its author seems to be in a halt now =/

Generally I find the Fate narration a little dry, whereas Nanoha's is more expressive (which I enjoy). I guess it kind of suits Fate, who is centuries old in this AU, but I'd prefer if Fate displayed a bit more thought (as opposed to simply describing her own actions).

V!F comes off as being harsher than canon-Fate, as expected...I tend to imagine V!F speaking with a more authoritative voice (like Kirihara from Darker than Black, also voiced by Mizuki Nana) rather than Canon!Fate's soft tone. I would love to be able to imagine V!F with the Fate voice, but her actions are just a bit too brazen to do so...

V!F!Nanoha is still a little undefined in my mind. I'll probably need to re-read the past posts to refamiliarise myself, but her character is more generic and waffly, from what I remember of her POV.

Lutecia waited for the footfalls to drift away. That had been a close one! What if they'd come in without knocking? Agito might do that, and then they'd have caught her...

She hit the "pause" button on her remote, and the show started up again, the strains of "Three Blind Mice" started up again...

"Nyuk nyuk nyuk!" she cackled along with the screen.

Closing her eyes, Syn inhaled the air slowly, a small smile coming on her lips. "Minty fresh." A small giggle came back and they both looked at each other before leaning forward once more.

A quick peck on the lips made them both pull back and grin, each one finding it amusing that they just did that. After shifting positions to get comfortable again, Vivio moved forward once more, kissing Syn on the lips and staying there for a few moments before breaking it off. "Not so bad?"

"Not really." Syn agreed lightly before kissing Vivio this time. Their eyes stayed open, sparkling at each other as they took turns both initiating the kiss and receiving it. A small surprised yelp was the only thing that Vivio let out before kissing her friend a little more firmly.

Having gotten used to how to move her mouth and breathe through her nose, Syn slipped her tongue out to meet Vivio's lips. At once the blonde gripped the sides of Syn's sweater and wiggled under her. Again the tongue came against her lips and she opened up to them, feeling Syn's touch hers without hesitation. 'Oh gross,' the words flashed through Vivio's mind immediately. 'I'm Frenching Syn!' Despite the awkwardness, the girl tried to keep up with her somehow skilled partner. 'I'm drooling, I can tell...' A small pause allowed them both to swallow and Syn rested her forehead against her friend's.

"This is kind of fun, actually." Syn revealed with an amused tone in her voice.

"... Yeah, I guess it is." Vivio smiled back up at her and parted her lips when Syn's tongue touched them again. This time she went on an urge and gently stated to suck softly as her mouth was invaded. She rolled her tongue over Syn's twice before finally opening her mouth up more to allow the girl to retreat. "How was that?"

"Sure you've never done this?" Syn was almost laughing at her.

"Positive. Kiss me." Vivio found her lips met forcefully and tongue slide into her mouth at once, this time trying to lick her tonsils. She found her shoulders pressed down on as Syn straddled her and finally closed her eyes. She allowed the girl several moments to explore her mouth before finally having to swallow. 'I can't taste anything but her...' Her mind drifted as her hands released Syn's shirt and moved to the small of her back, pulling her closer. 'Syn... I really like this.'

Laying down on her friend, Syn pulled back and gave teasing butterfly kisses around Vivio's mouth before licking the trail of saliva running her friend's neck. "Sloppy."

"Can't help it when you're making me deep throat your tongue." Vivio complained, cheeks burning at the action. "Don't stop."

Syn nodded and kissed her again, her hands running over Vivio's sides. 'She taste so good... I can't believe this, I actually really like it...' Pushing her feelings, the girl opened her mouth more, now panting into her friend's mouth. The action was accepted at once and they fought each other for air while hugging each other close.

Vivio let out a small moan, which was chuckled at by her friend. Not one to let that go, she allowed her hands to slide down to Syn's butt and grabbed it fully in both her hands, pulling Syn's waist closer and getting a shocked but pleased gasp into her mouth.

The motion broke something inside of Syn and her hips rocked against her friend's waist as her hand slid up Vivio's shirt. The bra was found and slid under without hesitation, making Vivio falter her kissing momentarily.

'Syn...' Vivio massaged her friend's backside, pulling upwards along with the unsure rocking of hips. 'I'm... with Syn...' Her rhythm missed a beat and she found her hands slipping under the jeans of her friend. 'I want to...' She pressed the motion, now gripping Syn's panties and shifting them so she could touch the skin. The panting against her mouth picked up and their bodies rocked against each other's again, now starting to lose it's innocence.

Syn gasped more, moving her other hand to pull Vivio's shirt and bra up over her chest. Her hands moved over the breasts and along the smooth skin of her sides. Their tongues battled more, breathing unsteady and ragged. 'Vivio... I don't' want to stop.'

'Don't stop, Syn, it feels too good to stop...' Vivio gave into her desire, letting out a cross between a gasp and a long moan. One hand slid from Syn's rear and slid up her back, pulling the shirt upwards and finding the clasp of her friend's bra.

"Vivio, I'm home!" The sudden call from Nanoha made each girl instantly break and scramble away from each other. Clothes were hastily adjusted and their panting was forcefully paused when the light knocking on her door came. "Vivio, you here?"

"Y-Yes ma'am!"

Nanoha opened the door and peeked in, smiling at the two girls. "I bought some ice cream, would you two like some?"

"P-please." Syn stammered out. If Nanoha noticed that something was different, she didn't show it. Instead she smiled at them happily and closed the door behind herself as she went about getting them their treat.

Vivio panted once more, holding a hand to her chest and looking at the bed. 'Oh my god... I just made out with Syn... made out! That... that wasn't learning... that was...real?' She looked over at her friend, who had a mix between shock and fear on her face. One thing was for sure, they would have a very awkward time tonight...

Way too hot to handle there, mate! Too bad the mama has to ruin everything.

Nah, books by themselves aren't heavy, boxes of books are. When we moved, my dad and I moved 400+ books by hand down 2 floors and up 3 floors ("library" in previous house was on the 2nd floor, libary in final house is 3rd floor).

And don't mind the desires for spoilers. The same people who want spoilers for non NF are the same people who approve of Fate killing Nanoha and wearing her skin while rubbing herself erotically.

Only one time i could remember when it could not see it was that "4 race meeting chamber" with Ernest - it was too dark there and bad terrain. Damaged DHD or depleted power source are more plausible. If MALP wouldn't see DHD they wouldn't send team. Also they can't do anything with standard equipment - they needed lightning strike energy-wise in that case...

Actually, they also sent a very large through the Stargate when they activated the Stargate to get to Atlantis. The MALP they sent through only checked for hostiles and if the environment was suitable for humans as there clearly was no DHD. They had no way to tell if the darkened chamber was Atlantis, a Goa'uld mothership, or some other place. Besides, I'm not even done with all the explanations in the story yet

Which IIRC resulted in death of atlantis expedition first time around... And they risk like that only for important places. And there is no "dark room" this time, so they can determine it in this case.

I left the store of the Mayor's house and ran upstairs, in the Mayor's office I looked for any sort of weapon, I found a pair of revolvers and a few cartridges inside a bureau.

With a belt, I placed the revolvers on my waist and kept the axe at hand, time was running out, I needed to find Karil. I ran out of the Mayor's house... the town... it was deserted, not a single soul... the once cheerful and lovely town of Sun's Hill was now a ghost town, trapped in the middle of the night's darkness and the mist that brought destruction and dead to it... everyone has gone, they were all dead... and me... the one who should have died many years ago at the hands of these demons was spared once more from the massacre, could someone else be still alive? Hiding in the ruins with fear?... No... I was alone... once more I was alone...

“I though that the nightmare was over” I though

Suddenly I heard something, sounded like steps... fast steps in the distance... in that moment, the mist that was surrounding the town disappeared and I could see the moon and the stars of the night again... in the distance, I saw a figure, a male figure riding a horse and leaving the town... in his hands, I could see a female figure, resting on his shoulders.

“Karil!” I immediately though, that man, whoever he was, it was the one who kidnapped Karil and the female figure he was taking out of the town was for sure Karil.

The figure disappeared at the distance, there was no way for me to reach it running, I needed a horse. I ran to the stable, hoping to find a horse inside it, when I entered, I just saw all the corpses of the animals slaughtered, ripped limbs and organs dropped on the floor, all covered with blood, these demons not even spared the animals.

I was going to leave the place when I heard something, a horse that was still alive, I ran inside the stable and looked for the animal, inside an individual section of the place, I spotted a beautiful black horse, the poor animal was really scared. I opened the gate and ran at him trying to calm him.

“Shhh.... shhhh.... it's okay, everything's okay, calm down, I'm not going to hurt you...”

I petted the animal's head and the horse slowly started to relax.

“I need your help, I need to find my friend, you will help me?”

The horse remained silent, but then he looked at me, his eyes told me that he was saying 'yes'.

I immediately jump on his back.

“Let's go!” I said, the horse immediately left the place, I rode him tin the same direction in which the other rider was heading.

I don't know for how much time I rode the horse, probably at least 3 hours, I didn't know where I was heading, I didn't knew who was the other rider, hell, I didn't knew what was happening, the only thing I knew, was that Karil was missing and that I needed to find her.

“Buahahahahahahahahahaha!!!” I heard inside my head, it was this laugh again, this laugh that had being torturing me.

I heard an explosion at the sides, I turned and saw how 3 undead riders spawned from the ground and started to chase me, the undead were riding horrible beast, similar to undead horses and were armed with revolvers.

Still riding, I turned over the horse and pulled out my revolvers, a gunfire immediately started between me and the undead riders, their bullets passed at my side only with a few inches away of my face and body, my horse was doing an awesome job evading the bullets.

I was doing as possible to evade and fire back, after some tries, I finally hit one in the head, the undead fell and along with him his cursed horse, the remaining two kept firing, I took a shoot, the bullet hurt my left arm, it wasn't a big injury though, it was just a scratch, I tried to fire back but my horse jumped to evade a rock and one of my revolvers fell, it was hard to me to grab one revolver in each hand when I only had 2 fingers on my right hand.*

Even with this, I grabbed the revolver I had left with both hands and shoot against the undead, I managed to kill another one, only one undead left.

I suddenly spotted yellow light behind me, I turned and saw a ranch ahead, being consumed by flames, something was wrong here, the undead kept shooting at me, I was evading the shots and firing back, this last one was hard to hit, I needed other strategy, then I got an idea.

I turned and slowed down the horse, at the point of having the undead rider really close to me, when he was at my side I grabbed my axe and with a single swing, his head was cut off.

The undead fell and the horse also (seems that when the riders are dead, the undead horse loose power). I kept riding in direction to the ranch. At something like 8 meters near to it, I stopped and jumped out of the horse. From were I was, I could hear the screams of the people and the sound of hellish beast, this mission, was under the attack of slaves also.

“Run, it's dangerous for you to be here” I said to the horse, the animal stayed with me for a few seconds, but when I insisted him to run, the horse obeyed and walked away.

I then prepared myself to run inside the ranch, somehow I knew that Karil was there... and the mysterious rider also.

*Note: Remember that Abomination cut 3 fingers of Vivio's right hand when she faced him on the Colosseum at Rome on Vatican Knights 1.

After a battle with Fate and having her will shaken, Hayate is starting to question her life secretly. Once she met Fate a few more times and understood that not all vampires were hell bent on killing every human they saw, she started to see Fate as a friend. Later, after Fate proved that Hayate could control her own life by allowing the girl a clean chance of killing her, she was told that Fate would protect her if she decided to defect from the Paladins. Much to Fate's horror, Hayate started openly showing that she was clearly crushing on the blonde. Although Fate has been true to Nanoha, Hayate has claimed a date for herself while not knowing that Nanoha and Fate were together.

Hayate carries a staff that houses the latest technology that paladins have to offer. Although she has never used it yet, it's presence alone makes people freeze in fear.

Spoiler for Tia:

A born vampire that was raised by the paladins. From an early age she showed rebellious traits and was later written off as an ally that worked for money. She was given Subaru as a blood bank after she tasted real blood for the first time. Although the two were simply friends at first, Tia fell for Subaru and protects her with a vicious fury that would leave many dead if it meant that Subaru would be okay.

Tia uses a paladin weapon created just for her named Cross Mirage. In the form of two playing cards, each card can be turned into a gun that draws energy from the user to fire. Tia can change the type of ammo shot by inserting ammunition clips that are filed with compressed energy. The clips shoot more powerful bullets, but also drain more from her in order to blast them.
